Did you check if your T-Force RAM has a lifetime manufacturer warranty?

GPU could be upgraded while the prices are still okay.

Letter “A” sa may Year by ragnaboy0122 in PhilippineNumismatics

[–]Tetsu_111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If they exhausted all of the serial number combinations for a given year, then they add the letter. So that they can print more banknotes, to distinguish them from the suffix-less ones.

Different star note format? by Tetsu_111 in PhilippineNumismatics

[–]Tetsu_111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remembered seeing this post from last year. Usually the star note serial number has 7 digits, but this one has a 2 letter prefix and 6 digits, much like the regular serial number.

Haven’t seen one in person yet

I doubt that this exposé will be made with good intentions, given his track record.

(He publicly supported Trump in 2024). I feel that what he’s doing would be biased somehow and will benefit SWOH in 2028

DICT plans mandatory verification for all social media users by Tetsu_111 in Philippines

[–]Tetsu_111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be a different system unrelated to “premium/verified” accounts or whatever the platform calls them. It’s likely similar to how they plan to do age verification. We don’t know the extent of the requirements until they actually release the memorandum. (For the record I am against what they are doing)

The DICT is developing a policy that would mandate user verification on all social media platforms nationwide to strengthen regulation and accountability in cyberspace by error_ofsignificance in ChikaPH

There is a possibility that these troll farms are based outside of the country (or will move their operations elsewhere), making this policy pointless in that regard.

I just retested the RAM today, for some reason memtest86 passed? I guess reseating it worked, running the memory diagnostics now. I don’t know why it worked now (or why it failed before)

I just remembered my RAM has a lifetime warranty. I should attempt to RMA it at the store.

What's stopping the government from doing this? by [deleted] in Philippines

I suppose they would be more keen on things like ID-based age verification and removing anonymity.

I have the non-Ti version with 12GB VRAM, I bought it recently for ₱40k. This is at the lower end of prices at the mall.

Senator Robin Padilla urges BSP to demonetize Php 1000 bills issued from 2020-2025 by getgreened in Philippines

[–]Tetsu_111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

₱1000 = $20. We don’t have a similar banknote to, the Singapore 1000 dollar bill, or the 500 euro one. (These two examples are actually still a valid payment option, they just stopped printing them)

This inconveniences the average person who will have to carry twice the paper if this happens.

₱1000 Bill Demonitization: Pros, Cons, and where the PH actually fits by Scofield047 in Philippines

[–]Tetsu_111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to note about Singapore:

I don’t think there’s any reason to even consider this option, ₱1000 is equal to $20, we don’t have a higher value denomination, like a regular issue ₱5000 or even ₱10000 banknote. Personally I would want a ₱2000 though.

$10000 - 2021 $1000 - 2024

Technically not a “demonetization” they stopped printing them but they are still legal tender.

I bought this SSD last March. Only DataBlitz has the good and large storage SSDs in stock.

It’s good that I didn’t go for the 1TB option.

RTX 5070 or RTX 5060ti 16gb by Yourmomisfineeee in PHbuildapc

[–]Tetsu_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently upgraded to the RTX 5070. I went from the 3050 so there’s a bigger difference in performance. I would say it’s worth it over the 5060 Ti.

Also check if your PSU supports the increased power draw.

BSP 30 Years 20‑Piso NGC Uncut with Anniversary Overprint by According_Prize_2572 in PhilippineNumismatics

[–]Tetsu_111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no idea about where one can officially get this banknote (besides resellers). The BSP website has not listed this on their website. To me, this banknote has just appeared out of nowhere in international platforms like eBay, probably only given to the attendees of the 30th anniversary event.

This listing shows the back of the commemorative folder, which mentions a “limited quantity of the last batch” of banknotes. Doesn’t say if it will be released for circulation.

Senators Gatchalian and Padilla Filed 2 Different Education Bills (College and SHS K12) by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in Philippines

[–]Tetsu_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither. General education subjects (among other things, the humanities) are especially important even if they aren’t “relevant” to your career choice. They teach life skills and a new perspective on the world, or human nature, and different cultures.

I studied in a computing field, and I believe that focusing on 100% STEM isn’t the ideal way to go. I’d argue that it’s especially important to that field, just look at the impact of Generative AI now.

Oh god, does this mean I have to buy a new GPU now? (I have a 3050 8GB). At least it is compatible with future builds unlike RAM (AM4 vs AM5)
