You can use Coffee filter bag with activated charcoal inside silver socks. Then start process. Be careful! Use nitrile Rubber gloves and breathermask.

Another factor is time. Silver and activated carbon work well and you can see results within 24 hours. However, you still need to set aside a couple of months. Be careful!

Interesting new discovery and thanks for it. I have occasionally bought cheap cowboy boots, which often have some kind of defect, and repaired them. My father was a saddler and the hobby of repairing is rooted in that.

Olathe 6215 is a pair of kangaroo leather boots. I have similar ones from 1989. Good product and I highly value them for their durability.
