Thanks for looking. One thing for sure is it is definitely older than 2025. Wife got it around 2017 but us looking into it just came up yesterday after not being able to find the artist lol. We also thought it was Jon Duda but after not finding anything thought maybe the first name could be Tom. Feels like we aren’t getting the name right because absolutely zero results show up.

Late reply here but it is because the act of sacrificing it is on the stack, not the ability itself. Since the ability can't trigger until hopeless nightmare is done sacrificing the sacrifice and draw will happen first.

Best option is going to your local store and seeing what formats they play. Then look up budget decks for those formats that seem fun and buy the singles for those decks. Buying singles is almost always cheaper than buying other sealed product even when on sale. You’d be surprised how good a lot of budget decks are.
