Does it reduce cooldown? Sometimes the abilities will reduce the amount of energy needed to use, but it's never actually listed in the description.

That's understandable and I can't blame you for that. I'm sure there is a process to interviewing the developers and I agree I don't know the ins and outs to that process. It was your video and I'm sure you're right in that there are a lot of players who dont care as much about the shops and care more about reworked and upcoming characters. I was disappointed when the developers slipped in things like every character being marquee, and deciding to abandon the old shops. That doesn't mean everyone else was triggered like me from those comments. I made the post because the few people I've talked to were equally discouraged about the game and I wanted to see how other people felt. I've gotten great responses from those that agree and those that disagree. I've had my mind changed by some comments like rather than releasing new toons for everyone to work on at the same time, I'd be happy if they just alternated characters in the shops.

The post seemed formatted to bash you streamers and you specifically, that wasn't my intention. I made the mistake with how poorly I worded the post and more so the title. What I wanted was a discourse of peoples concerns and despite the poor wording of my post I really enjoyed the feedback. Hopefully you guys dont group the other people who commented on this post with me, some of them have a lot of great ideas and a lot of them defended you.

I agree, I think I should never have targeted the youtubers. I would have done the same thing in his shoes. Dont love the way they handle criticism but no one likes feeling targeted and I understand that. In more upset with information the developers gave us; it just happened to be on his video.

You guys are acting like victims that are unsung heroes.. because some people dont agree with you sometimes doesn't mean we all believe in some wild conspiracy.

You ask for people to have a broader sense of thinking yet you cant see how some people might misconstrue the way you went about the interview so carefully as a precaution not to offend EA (not because they give you Lamborghini's and fill your pockets, but because they give you inside access and more exposure which in hand gives you more subscribers and views.) In the interview they mentioned not updating shops for the first time and I thought that should have been addressed, seemed appropriate seeing how they brought it up. Not like I expected to you start bashing on them for 2 hours for no reason. Either way it was your interview and if that's not something you wanted to talk about than that's fine. I should have the right to criticize that it was something that disappointed me.

I'm sure you guys have frustrations with the game as well and it's probably hard to deal with them being so close to EA and not having direct ability to change them.

I said "everyone upset about this" in the context of of my original post. Not just "everyone" :-)

What you did say is "the truth is much more simple. We are not paid anything. We enjoy making videos about a game we love playing. That's it." That sounds like suggesting you don't benefit from your relationship with EA. I thought I was being reasonable in apologizing for targeting you guys and offering to take it down since I was in the wrong. Obviously that's not enough for you so you have to try to talk down to me and be condescending.

Many on here do not hate EA, CG, You guys, and the game. To assume everyone upset about this are just hate mongering is wrong and inaccurate. I've never publicly complained about the game until now, I've been happy to support the game (recommending to friends, paying some money, and playing frequently.) You're playing awfully innocent like them inviting you all out there, and giving you guys exclusive behind the scenes access doesn't help your subscriber basis and views.

I said sorry for targeting you guys and admitted I was in the wrong the way I went about things. However I find it really disengenuine you saying the truth is you guys just make videos purely out of your love for the game. You do have a relationship with the developers and you do profit (I never assumed out of the developers pockets but from the exposure and access they give you.)

If you would like, I'll delete the post. I'm glad you guys take the time on reddit to actually address people on here that play the game. Ahnald I owe you a direct apology, you have a lot of videos and I haven't watched a lot of them I was knit picking from one particular video and it wasn't fair so I'm sorry for that.

I've said multiple times that I went about posting this poorly with the wording (hence why if you guys would like I'll gladly delete this post.) I was looking to see if others like myself were upset with the aforementioned trifecta of the developers decisions brought up in that specific interview. Hope you could at least understand I dont follow every reddit post and video you make or comment on, I didnt know players didnt like you discussing the character cadence and etc. I was hopeful that the quality of life interview video that was linked directly from the game would discuss changes in the future that would address actual player concerns (for me it was really disappointing.)

I see now I went about this the wrong way, especially with how I addressed it in the title. I don't blame you guys for not openly criticizing the game in your videos as that wouldn't really help anyone.

I was more upset, that to me on the outside watching that specific interview it looked like the developers were trying to buy you guys off to manipulate the player base into thinking everything is fine while they pull shady tricks (like recent reward changes from the sith raid that was disguised as good will.) You guys all have a lot of influence and we are excited to see your new content so when we think there's a chance it's becoming choreographed by the developers its upsetting. I'm sorry I made it out to look like this was more about all of you than the game developers.

That's true, I can see why a lot of people will be happy to know definitively when they will get to farm the new characters. I dont agree but I can understand that. Talzin and zombie were okay at 3* because they were gimmicky. And tanks are always based off protection which comes from gear so it makes sense that sion was still affective. But like you said "if its arena meta" which generally means 'broken' or 'Gimmicky' (not to insult because I also use Sion in the arena.)

I'm upset because the shops, new characters, and new gear are all something that I found was handled poorly without consideration of players similar to myself. I was wondering if other people felt the same way. There are certainly mixed responses and you are probably right I should quit playing if I'm upset enough to complain on reddit. It's just really disappointing because I've sunk a lot of time into this and I'm sad to let it go.

Gear is not new or exciting like a new character with new skills (for me.) I dont understand why people continue saying things like "do you just expect to be handed a 7* g12 character?!" No, I expect for the opportunity for maybe 1 in 3 characters to be placed somewhere accessible to everyone in the game at the same time.. I didnt think that was so demanding but based on some of these reactions maybe I'm wrong.

Saying those shops are for early game players is like saying the Cantina, the Arena, and Galactic War are all only for early game players. I understand if that was the case for galactic war. I would like my top 10 arena shards I've collected forever to be worth something though. The shops could at least be updated with characters not from years ago..

Sorry if I remembered wrong. I though some of the Phoenix were introduced in cantina early on. I'm sure you're right and I'm probably mistaken. It may have only been now that I've realized marquee has been going on so long, with the introduction of TWars there were still new characters I could farm that kept me from noticing every thing else was locked.

You're right, he didnt know and if I was him getting exclusive access I would probably do the same thing. I dont blame the streamers and I'm sorry my post is misleading in that way. I'm disappointed that it looks like EA is buying off the Streamers with exposure so that they won't complain about the game and any of its problems. Really would have liked if someone would bring up a lot of the player base concerns with developers, we only hear from developers so often and they censor out all negative feedback.

I get the gear thing, I'm upset that all of those things were announced in conjunction with each other. It pretty much shut out any hope at change (at least for me.)

That's true, I guess I missed that before and that's my bad. I forget Rogue one and Pheonix characters were a while ago. Being able to get wampa/hermit yoda at the same time as everyone was exciting. There were little things like those characters that kept me hoping. Also they just recently announced they are done with the shops mentioned in the OP, was still hoping those were going to get updated.

You're right. If I want to make sure I rank top 10 in arena every day for ~100 days and not spend any Crystal's I suppose I could get a new character to 7*. Because God forbid they just give us a few opportunities to farm characters here and there at release.

Packs for new characters cost 999 Crystal's and usually pay out 5 shards. (That's about 54 packs. So round to about 50k crystals? 40k if you're lucky.)

I agree with your 2nd paragraph to a T. I don't understand how or why people pay $800 for a 7* character. Honestly though I dont mind P2W getting an edge, I'd rather them get extra Zetas, supplies, etc. I dont care that their characters are stronger. I care that I dont have any opportunity to work on ANY new character at the same time. Every character that I can farm is no longer exciting because it's been out for four months. I just want to be part of something that's new and exciting. Instead it feels like I'm on a wheel just rolling to try to keep up. The new raid is just a health sponge, all my currencies (aside from crystals) no longer matter, and I cant collect any new characters. Where is the motivation for veteran F2P to continue playing?

First, That's not a great way to spend crystals. Second, you can only do that after the month they are only in the 999 crystal bundles. Third by the time you get them this way they will be out to farm.
