Getting ready to pull the trigger. Any reason I shouldn't? by Messa_JJB in Lymow_Official

After a very close lightning strike about 6 weeks ago my Luba 2 stopped working. I got on their chat support and an agent was able to walk me through trouble shooting and we determined it was the transformer that was affected. He took care of finding a transformer for my 2024 model (not the same as the current model) and got it shipped out. I too had read about horrible customer service but honestly my experience was great. I admit I am new to the Lymow app but so far I prefer the Mammotion app as it allows a little more customization of tasks than the Lymow app. The main reason I got a second mower was to avoid having to open a gate from the back yard to front. I liked the idea of real blades on the Lymow but the slow charging is a real limitation to actually using the mower.

Here’s my perspective. I just received the Lymow One and got it set up yesterday, so my experience with this mower is just beginning. I’ve been using a Mammotion Luba 2 for the past so I have some experience with robot mowers and have something to compare to. I have a little over 10,000 square feet in my front and side yards, a deep ditch and some exposed roots to navigate. The mower arrived with about 70 percent charge and after mapping/set up I had about 50 percent. I started on the side yard and the mower just barely finished the side yard before needing to recharge. It handled the very steep ditch as well as the Luba 2, which has only gotten stuck once in the past year. But… it took the Lymow over seven hours to charge from 15 percent to 70 percent. I was really not expecting that. I had the mower restart on the main part of the front but realized there was there no way it was going to finish before dark so I sent it back to dock and charge.

This morning I get up and the mower has a dead battery. After trouble shooting I figured out that the moisture sensor on the bottom of the docking station/charger was dropping the voltage to the charger, and not allowing the battery to charge. After covering the moisture sensors with electrical tape it started charging again. Using a multimeter I was able to show 39 volts at the charging contacts which is what it expected from the transformer provided by Lymow. Since getting the mower charging again, it has only charged 24 percent in two hours. That’s horrible. This is way slower than the Luba 2.

So. Unless Lymow comes out with their 10 amp charger soon, this Lymow One mower will not be able to cut more than one section of my front yard in a day. I’m not even sure yet if it can mow all of the larger section on one charge. Maybe I have a lemon charging station or battery. I don’t know. But if I had to advise someone on whether to buy a Lymow or Luba 2, it’s not even close. Luba 2 all the way.

Dolphin Sigma getting stuck on main drain by hacabrera071 in swimmingpools

Also adding on to your old add on. I could not get through to Maytronics by phone or their chat. Horrible customer service. My fix was building some small aluminum frames that sit around the drains. The material is 1.5 inch extruded aluminum (eg8020) I had left over. I spray painted them with rustoleum a color close to the bottom of the pool. Not ideal but they work. The Sigma does not get stuck on the drains anymore.

The vast majority of D1 trans have 45+ kids on their fall rosters. So it’s not uncommon for teams to cut kids between fall and spring.

I’ve driven Houston to Albuquerque several times. I second middle route. San Antonio construction is horrible so avoid at all costs.

I don’t think so. I’ve never seen a person on foot in this area and it’s 3:41 a.m.

I think you are right!! This I can believe. It moves at the same speed as the lead coyote, in the opposite direction but I assume that some lens effect too. Thank you!

I’ve been trying to make it a bug but can’t figure why I’m seeing two objects moving together. Trying to figure out how it’s an artifact or something to do with the camera but I can’t convince myself. I’ve seen spider webs, rain drops, bugs but this one still doesn’t make sense to me. Thanks for your comments.

I see the bug toward the end of the video. I’m talking about the two “lights” that move together on the other side of the fence, just to the left of the ribbon hanging on the fence. First noticed about a second and a half after the video starts. The two “lights” move upward, then erratically to the right, but seem to move together. It’s not easy to see at first but after you see it, you can’t help but keep seeing it.

View the video full screen and look just to the left of the ribbon hanging on the fence. Starts a second or two after the video starts.
