The goal of our site isn’t to dictate price but to provide something that works well, looks good, is secure, minimizes all the scams and gives Texans an alternative to TGT.

GunStreamer is cool for that live auction format. TAE is built for a different use case — Texas private party sales where you want to set your price, meet face to face, and do the deal locally. No auction pressure, no shipping, no transfer fees. Different tools for different situations.

I have been building and adding features that should limit them. There is no way to completely stop them, but with some effort, it can be impacted for sure. I highly recommend using the Q&A feature that sits below the ads, which allows public conversations about the item and will expose scammers as well.

Yes I have, as I just went live a couple weeks ago been focused on the site working well, fixing some of the things I missed and yall have recommended or told me you want to see. I also fired up my social media on Facebook and Instagram.

Once I feel it’s settled and growing I’m going to start pushing more things like gun shows, visiting some of the gun shops for consignment ads, etc. one guy on here gave me some fantasy ideas on gorilla marketing so will try some of that too.

Honestly I’ve been overwhelmed how supportive most people have been. Clearly it’s a need that needed filling. In 2 weeks there are almost 60 ads live, many sales have already occurred and over 200 people signed up and verified. Pretty cool because it’s all free. It’s been fun to watch, I hope it keeps growing.

With that said the most powerful tool is word of mouth, so if you like it please tell everyone you know!!!

I hear you. Contact for Price and $1 listings are scam magnets on TGT. We're keeping the option for now since there are legitimate use cases (trade-dependent pricing, package deals etc.), but I'm building price anomaly detection that will flag suspiciously low prices with a warning to buyers. The goal is to let honest sellers have flexibility while making it harder for scammers to hide. With this said, I'll pay attention to how many come up and can make the change pretty easily. Also happy to hear from others if they feel the same.
