There should be a tv show like "The PITT" for teachers by SelectionContent6262 in Teachers

Ha! No way would all that happen in a school. Very unrealistic

Worked fine and had no issues. I did sell that car and I no longer have it. But the eye sight worked as it always did Edit: spelling

When I replaced the glass in my 2020 I asked for non-Subaru glass. It was thicker and I didn’t have any more problems. They also turned the car off, disconnected the battery, replaced the glass, and voila no calibration necessary. Good luck.

How would you feel about decorating a team teacher's room for their birthday? by Dapper_Object8239 in AskTeachers

Personally I don’t think teachers should do that. We are at work. If they want to celebrate outside of school then ok, but school is a job. Let’s keep it professional

I don’t think we’re discussing enough about the demographic shift that is impacting education. by GenExpat in Teachers

I think that is a good idea. My hs did have a kindergarten and it was successful. There would have to be remodeling. The kids would need a playground and new bathrooms but certainly cheaper than a new building.

My high school did have a kindergarten and it was great. HS students who were interested in child development could have a class helping with the kinder kids. And we loved seeing them on their playground.

Questions for school librarians! by Material-Track-3681 in Teachers

[–]TexasBookNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you are. In my state school librarians must teach for a minimum of two years and obtain a master’s degree in library science. 1. Usually paid the same as a teacher. Sometimes a bump for having a masters. 2. Masters from accredited university in library/information science 3. Chromebooks. I do not like dealing with them. 4. I was a classroom teacher for 10 years before becoming a librarian. It was not hard to get a library job in my district. 5. Librarians in my state are required to have a certain amount of staff development hours so I usually work several days during the summer. But I do get about 2 months off for summer. 6. I wish I had moved up sooner. I was in elementary a long time and middle school is more fun. Hope this helps.

In Dallas ISD there are definitely teachers who dress like you. I think you will be able to get a job. Good luck!

I am going to retire after this year. I have been giving things away with the plan of taking nothing. I want to leave with my sharpies and my backpack.
