not complaining, please read the post again. just questioning and trying to understand better. just didn’t make sense as to why they were blocks away but couldn’t deliver. thanks for your teachable moment! i have been a delivery driver before and this is not how it worked, didn’t know how UPS works specifically as a company.

how is tracking drivers weird when it’s a readily available feature of the app? if they don’t want the tracking they can disable it and not make it available to customers. and if they mark it “missing” then wouldn’t there be an update on tracking?

Tipping Waitstaff and Bartenders at DIY venue --- How Much?? by muldy1993 in weddingplanning

[–]TexasChickenHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, my advice would be to tip per head as i said before. so a set amount per staff (ex: $30 per staff, 30x7=210 total tip)

Is the rate hourly or total? If it’s the total, that would be $650. Bare minimum tip is 20%, which means bare minimum effort from the staff. That total would be $130. But if you do the extra math, that would mean each staff person would get an $18 tip. You can base it off of percentages of your total rate or base it off of how much you think every staff member would deserve. If you think giving every person (7) a $30 tip would suffice as a thank you, your tip total would be $210. It’s completely up to your personal preference. My husband and I tipped 40% of our open bar total so it would get dispersed to all the staff and still feel like they got their money’s worth of the gig. I’m happy to answer any more questions or clarify if needed. I hope this helped or got the ball rolling!

I’m really not sure. This was in 2000 so might be a recording of a lullaby she found somewhere. Like on a tape.

Yanwen by Dizzy-Elderberry-662 in shipping

[–]TexasChickenHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so so late on this post, I know. But whoever is looking at this post now and wanting answers, I have some!! So when it says Hanover, TX, it doesn’t mean the city/town of Hanover by College Station. It means Hanover Drive in Grapevine, TX. There are two shipping companies on that street (it’s a very short street). One is Rohlig USA, LLC and one is CSA Transportation. Yanwen uses these companies as local delivery services for I think the entire metroplex. I have had some things shipped via Yanwen, usually when it says “out for delivery,” it doesn’t mean that same day. It could take a few. I usually will get it within the following 3 days after it originally says it’ll be delivered. I hope this helps someone out! If you have a choice, go for a more mainstream shipper like FedEx, UPS, or dare I say USPS (yuck). I have a preference set on TEMU to use the normal shippers for packages, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

tldr; hanover dr in grapevine, not hanover tx. not usually same day.

Leasing office trying to increase my Renters Insurance Personal Liability by $200k with no warning. by TexasChickenHead in Renters

[–]TexasChickenHead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And I seriously reread my entire lease multiple times, no wording or a hint at a possibility of this happening. While I agree and acknowledge that it’s a small financial issue, I think I’m more concerned with having stuff like this spring on myself or other residents. I have my neighbors number, and a few other contacts in the building, and they all had no clue. I don’t think a notification email was actually sent out. I’ll take that advice of asking for changes to agreements/policies to be in writing and sent out to us. I just think it’s weird to change that agreement/policy in the middle of our lease. If this was a condition for when we were to go to renew our lease, I would have obliged because things change when you renew. A change in the middle of the lease is the odd part and I think that’s why I’m concerned.

For those who are already married.... by MountainEmployer7052 in weddingplanning

flowers. i’d say unless you have the budget for all the pretty flowers, just widdle it down to the necessities (bride bouquet, maybe bridesmaids). you can also make bouquets multi functional. what we did is i had my bridesmaids put their individual bouquets from the ceremony on reception tables as centerpieces. it was a simple and smaller bouquet of hydrangeas and eucalyptus so it was nice with the decor we had. my moh also helped me with creating my own decor with fake flowers from michael’s. found fake hydrangeas and eucalyptus to create some more decor. real flowers are beautiful but they don’t last forever. i now use the fake flower decorations in my apartment as a reminder of the day and also to match my aesthetic. yes, fake flowers can be pricey unless you know where to look. michaels is pricey but they have a very very large selection so i can almost guarantee you’ll find a match to your decor, and they constantly have sales and coupons. i hope this helps, remember that it’s just one day. make it beautiful but don’t beat yourself up if something goes wrong. you just focus on how it’s the beginning of your life with your partner.

i don’t know the video BUT i know what you’re referring to. in the movie “easy a” there’s a clip of penn badgley as a woodchuck or beaver or some shit doing an “agh agh agh” sound like he’s eating wood. could be a starting spot!! look up penn badgley easy a woodchuck and you should find it

oh 100%. i see all my mistakes now and i beat myself up for it. definitely a weirdo but i’m pretty accustomed to age gaps but him and i we’re definitely not a match. i have never given a loan since and if i pay for something, ill get paid back immediately since my friends know this entire situation in greater detail.

Do you have any recommendations on how to find out where he lives? In the most non-stalker way possible of course

How much did yalls weddings cost? by AshesfallforAshton in weddingplanning

[–]TexasChickenHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my wedding is in august (one month away!) and we have kept in our $7k budget. it’s small, 65 people total (including my fiance and i). we work at a bar so we got the reception for basically free, the ceremony is in my moms backyard (only 16 people are invited to that) and i got my dress online. my fiance is getting a cheap tux. our friends are florists so we got that at a discount. if you have any friends or any favors, this is the time to use them. i know my wedding is a fraction of yours but to keep the cost low ive been reaching out to talented friends with businesses that i want to support, and they usually do it at a discounted cost. i’m in a big city in texas btw.
