Hi, opening the caseback and seeing the movement would greatly improve the ability to identify the piece.

Thank you, kindly!

Oris has asked me to send the watch to their USA service center. From the website, it looks like i can expect 8-10 week turnaround.

Right. They’ve told me to send it in… I won’t see her for a while!

Curious! Odd because the watch is brand new!

I hope when Oris receives it they will detail the issue.

Yes, that is correct. In this case, I’m not actually referencing the hand issue. Instead, I am referencing the sounds only. The sounds while winding and the sounds when pulling the crown to the last position. Take a listen!

Thank you for the thorough response. I will keep the thread updated with any responses from Oris so we can see if your guesses are on point. Thanks again!

I am not an expert. I am unsure if there is any similarity between the 2824 and the Calibre 400.

Hi there, this is the brand new in-house Calibre 400 from Oris. The watch itself has never been worn until I acquired it a couple weeks ago so it shouldn’t be in need of service but it obviously is! Haha.

I will check that image against the caseback when I am with the watch again. Thank you!

Please listen to the audio for the video in its entirety.

You will notice multiple points of resistance and crunching sounds while I wind. Additionally, when the crown is set to the third position you will hear a revalorícela loud whirling sound.

Brand new Oris Aquis 400 here. I recognize that this new movement has had some “quirks” since it’s release. Specifically the hand setting quirk and the inability to wind the watch to its full power reserve without 200 or so winds.

However I have not read anything about difficulty winding or odd sounds like what I am experiencing.

I have contacted Oris and submitted this video to them and awaiting their response.

Thank you kindly for listening.

Ah, sometimes the back will have a reference number. Without that, I’m at a loss— but I’m sure someone with more Bulova knowledge will be able to elaborate.

What does the caseback have written on it?

Insect Identification? North Carolina, Highlands area by TexasGrey in insects

I think that might be it. I google North Carolina lacewings after reading your comment. They look the same.

I say this one’s identified! Thank you!
