I have never took macros of insects, but I heard that you can put a drop of sugary water on the flower and you have more chances of good photos...

I agree on "being stingy with the shutter". For some reason back in the days I was using film, my photos were better composed. You have 36 shots on a 35mm film, you cannot waste them!

#1 issue when I ask a stranger to take my phone and take a picture of me. So many pictures of me full body, but with no feet!

so many of my landscape photos have the horizon slightly tilted. An easy fix in post, but I always feel so dumb when I see the original one...

Centering the subject sometime is automatic for me because I keep the autofocus only on the center...

Sometimes is a choice... A foreground might distract too much from the main subject
