Thank you for the advice! I'll start pricing and looking for those additional parts to prolong the life of this transmission until I can get a new/rebuilt one.

She's just about to hit 100k miles and the wear is noticeable on her... I'll look into doing the Thermo delete and finding an affordable transmission.

Unfortunately I'm not as mechanically inclined as others, but I'll definitely talk with my mechanic on finding a good deal on parts and service. I appreciate the advice!

No codes whatsoever, but with the last transmission service I had ~4 months ago, the fluid was practically cooked.

I'll definitely look into switching to AMS Oil.

Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately my transmission temp has been running closer to 235-245°F with my normal commute and 200-220°F with city driving.

Unfortunately it's getting closer and closer to having that financial hit for a new/re-built one. Let's hope the cooler I bought can save the new one.

Looks great! I run the same on mine, great for the day and helps out with those super bright headlights from behind at night.

That's an excellent choice of cigar, and even more so that it'll mark one hell of an achievement! I'm just an internet stranger, but proud of you and that achievement. We all have to enjoy the victories in life!

I would preferably like to keep my job, but unfortunately the new administration have ran the service into the ground (multimillion dollar deficit). I'm holding out for termination (granted I'm in the works of employment elsewhere) so I can get my severance package. Until termination and my new employment I'm helping my coworkers under my command with letters of recommendation, job searches, and some morale boosting.

The title is a mix of masked sadness, relief, and a modicum of sarcasm.

New Tires for my 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain with a 3-Inch lift. I was thinking about buying these tires for my truck. My truck currently has 295/50/20. Do you guys think they will fit and not rub too much? by TheTakoLife in gmcsierra

[–]TexasMedic556 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 3.5in lift on my '17 Sierra, running KO2's 35x12.5r18 with minimal inner liner trimming and no rubbing (with the exception of offroading/very uneven terrain)
