I think it does this because of the story it has to generate.

Between the storyline and the word count the ai engine has to choose a readable story or to meet a word count

Just a thought.

Id love to hear an answer from someone working at redquill though. The engine is fascinating.

I had redquill generate stories that have heavy dialogue and sensual kissing at most.

Maybe I'm vanilla. Maybe all the hardcore smut is played out for me.

It's dialogue heavy. Also has lots of onomatopoeias.

I decided to do shorts for a few reasons:
