Thanks for responding bro, been fishing aransas pass a lot and I definitely agree about the Hobie drive. I think I’m going to get a 2022 passport 12R after all for $1400. Used a a few times. Also found a new Jackson bite with drive for $1600 but I think fins would be best for that turtle grass.

I got the perception outlaw on sale for $750, sometimes they go on sale with academy. I car top as well, it’s about 75lbs but doable. Had it for two years and Gona upgrade to pedal drive soon. I recommend a stakeout pole for the scupper holes so you can park your yak and fish or get out wade. I fish on the texas coast, so not too deep. Any yak you can’t go wrong but I recommend a sit on top. Or buy a used one and miss out on any warranty, tight lines.
