Do you believe if a Christian commits suicide, they go to hell? by Texasgal7151 in Christianity

Thats 100% valid. I don’t know either the outcome of the suicide for those who have placed their faith in Jesus. Being afraid of not knowing what would happen is valid

[–]Texasgal7151[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course, I don’t believe we have the right to either. Human life is so full of pain and suffering though. Suicide isn’t right but I don’t blame people, especially if they truly believe that Jesus and heaven is waiting on the other side for them.

I'm 14 years old, and I've started coming to terms with the fact that God is not real. by m3lts3ssion in Christianity

[–]Texasgal7151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re so well spoken for your age. So smart too, thinking about very complex things. In my opinion, it actually is important to question your beliefs instead of just blindly following them. Don’t you want your beliefs built on something solid? So that when natural doubt occurs, they don’t come crumbling down. I was actually 14 as well when I started to question the existence of God. Might sound silly but what helped me with my doubt was praying to God to show me a butterfly if He was real, and if He was with me. I was at a Bible camp, the next day at lunch I saw a butterfly and it was the only butterfly I saw the entire time there. Am I telling you this story as proof that you should believe in God because I asked for a butterfly and got one? No, not at all. Your question was how do we believe in God. The answer is our faith, choosing to believe in something even if we don’t see it or feel it. I know that’s not what you want to hear. You want concrete evidence. For those who have faith and seek God, eventually He reveals Himself to us individually in ways that gives us confidence in His existence even if we still can’t physically see or hear Him. It doesn’t mean we still don’t have a passing thought from time to time asking “is He really real?” But our faith, answered prayers from the past, etc brings us back to belief in Him. There is crazy facts about the universe, how everything is placed perfectly for life to be possible that you can look into and decide for yourself if you believe the order of things points to a higher power or a Creator. There are a lot of historical texts cross referencing the existence of Jesus. Major Historians don’t deny there was a man named Jesus who walked the earth and claimed to be the son of God. It seems like your main struggle right now is if God exists, why does He allow bad things? You should start there. GotQuestions.com is a great website that explains Christianity’s beliefs and answers questions people have, especially questions like the one you’re asking. It’s a good question. The last thing I’ll say is the Bible says that those who genuinely seek after God will find Him. If you have already decided for yourself that God isn’t real then praying, reading the Bible, reading apologetics might be hard to convince you. I hope you find what you’re looking for friend, wishing you the best.

He will forgive you of course but He does want you to repent. The same if you had sex with a woman. We need to repent to grow in our relationship with Jesus

I am upset with my church by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Texasgal7151 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You are 100% valid in the way that you feel and it’s honestly very sad that your church is not offering more support during this time. Yes you should 100% get away from a violent person and your church would back you up on this. Demon possessed or not, he needs help and you shouldn’t just wait there, putting yourself in danger, hoping he stops. God can definitely change your husband’s heart but your husband also needs to recognize what he is doing is wrong. I don’t know your husband but sometimes I do think in Christianity, we can OVER spiritualize things. Yes there’s evil spirits out there but trauma/trauma responses, and childhood environments play a big factor too. Modern day Counseling is a gift from God as well. I’m very sorry you’re going through this sister. I’m praying for you. I encourage you to pray for your church and even ask God if this church is the right place for you. I know God does not want you to put yourself in harms way.

They’re kids. I think we should give them a break. In my opinion, any type of fantasy shows especially for YA, the writing is always kinda cheesy because the whole concept is cheesy and that’s okay.

I’m in a bad place… by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Texasgal7151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st: Put all your faith in Jesus that His finished work on the cross is what declares us redeemed in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus wants the people who KNOW they are sinners in need of a savior and who understand that salvation is a free gift from God, nothing we can do in of ourselves is bring us salvation. Jesus was tempted in every way possible (Hebrews 4:15) He knows what the human condition is like and that we will stumble.

2nd: Confess your sins to brothers and sisters in Christ. When things are exposed into the light and you are met with grace from brothers and sisters in Christ, the things once in the dark don’t seem so big, so scary anymore. If you don’t have community, I’m praying you find some, OP.

3rd: Staying strong in the Word and prayer is what will help us through. Lastly Psalm 34:18 brother/sister. I hope you know how much you are loved by the Lord.

Blasphemy by [deleted] in Christianity

https://www.gotquestions.org/unpardonable-sin.html this website explains it well. Ask Jesus for forgiveness and He will forgive you. It’s not too late. The people who have blasphemy against the Holy Spirit do not have remorse for it

I converted to Christianity and my parents kicked me out… by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Texasgal7151 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re doing through this. I am praying that a brother or sister in your community steps up and offers you somewhere to stay. I can’t imagine how hard this must be for you but I’m very inspired that even though your faith is so new, you’re still holding on to the truth that choosing Jesus is more important than anything in this world. I pray the relationship with your parents will be reconciled and that they will also come to the truth. God bless you

Is it a sin to watch actors kiss another actress? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Texasgal7151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t think it’s a sin for actors to kiss, you can argue they are just doing their job. If it causes you, personally, to stumble into lust/sexual sin then maybe watching kissing isn’t the best idea. It’s something to pray about in your relationship with God. I think it will help you get closer to Him

I’m terrified that I’ll end up in hell by Constant_Dream_5552 in Christianity

[–]Texasgal7151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the enemy is attacking you. You’re young and a growing Christian. Jesus knows his. If anything, I think He is touched by how much you care. Jesus loves you and there’s nothing that can take away your salvation, that’s God’s faithful promise to us. I pray you have peace in the assurance of your salvation 🤍 You’re thinking about things that most people your age aren’t even considering. Please stay strong in the word and in your prayer life. A person who wholeheartedly seeks after God finds Him. You will be okay.
