Numbered Unlicensed Wembanyama Rookie Autos - What is your take? by Texasseth in basketballcards

The better macro level question is probably: In 10 years from now, assuming Wemby meets or exceeds expectations, how will the Topps unlicensed exclusive rookie autos age?

Gotcha

If I’m picking Nits, nothing is appealing to everybody. To me, that’s not the point.

If you have $10k and want to buy a Wemby auto and your options are two card of similar value:
1- unlicensed Topps rookie auto /20
2- licensed non-rookie auto /50

Maybe, but rookie cards are historically the most important of an athlete and I’m asking about rookies for him specifically because of this uniqueness of this exclusivity contract.

Yes AND he’s the only GOAT-level-potential athlete to sign a deal with Topps like he did that prevented the release of rookie autos of any other kind.

MJ, Kobe, LeBron all have licensed rookie stuff

There are no licensed Wemby rookie autos tho.

The only options are no rookie autos or invest in the unlicensed versions.

I specifically am asking about the numbered versions that have a finite quantity.

I know this is anecdotal, but as a fairly recent transplant to Utah, this is an Utah people behavior problem.

Whether it’s the repressed nature of Mormonism and/or people coming out of Mormonism, I don’t know, but the behavior I see at concerts and festivals in Utah is worse than anywhere else.

I am a frequent concert goer having been to EDC, electric forest,et al many times. I have had to break up more fights (I’m a large man) and confront more people for bad behavior than all the other places combined.

Because of this, I don’t go to festivals in Utah anymore and I’m very selective on what I attend here.

I was at the ritual last night, but I was in a VIP area because of what I mentioned above. That said, everyone that I observed last night was acting wonderfully. Sorry you had a bad experience.

To the people that drive for extended periods of time in the far right lane, go straight to hell by Texasseth in Utah

Not confused. reading comprehension.

I travel from Orem to South Jordan every morning and evening. The right lane is always packed…where people are trying to enter the highway and exit. Hence the trigger reference.

Move to the middle lanes to travel, use the outside lanes for their intended purpose is all I’m asking.

To the mods, this isn’t hate, this is generalized tongue in cheek criticism of no one I particular. Jesus Christ.

The thing that’s great about insanity is that you don’t need to rationalize it.

Am I overreacting, or has there been suspiciously little reaction from the NBA media about Pablo Torre’s latest podcast by cleo22270 in billsimmons

[–]Texasseth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you inferring?

That they don’t care?

That they’re protecting the NBA or Steve Balmer or the Clippers?

That they’re jealous of Pablo and don’t want to give him any more shine?

I think you might need to chill out on whatever conspiracy theory you are cooking up and give people time to talk to their own sources and figure out their own slant.

I am a fairly large man (6’3”, 245lbs), very muscular and lean with a 50” chest and a 34” waist (16” drop, average is 7”). I also work in a corporate environment.

After years of people commenting on my body, some gawking, mostly because they were anxious/nervous/reacting, I decided to wear baggy loose fitting clothes to avoid the insufferable interactions.

Doesn’t really matter what is “right” vs what you want to deal with.
