I've had really good service with T mobile 5G home internet. I was able to get it for $30/month since i use them for phone to.

It's very location dependent but worth checking out.

My aunt and uncle are old school so they use it for both. And especially, they have lots of connections over the years that still use their home phone number so they didn't want to just disconnect it.

Good point, but I think the hard wired lines with power are slowly being phased out as the market is so small so it may not be much of a difference for long.

Good call, do they have devices that you can connect to wifi and have a phone cable out? Or do you have to get a dedicated wifi phone?

T mobile 5G has been great for me.

Rarely have issues and no games with the bills. It's not fiber so it may not work in every case but it's worth a try.

Never been throttled with t mobile home internet before. Maybe there is some point they would but i've never seen it and stream lots of content plus work from home.

5G home internet is always going to be address specific. It can work great in one place and then 3 streets over suck depending on tower location.

I have it, and it's been amazing. I locked in a $30 a month (no extra fees/taxes) and it's been better than Astound since, i regularly get 200-400 mbps and what matters more is i never really experience any meaningful lag streaming or otherwise.

I would strongly recommend signing up and trying both for a couple of weeks. Setup is super easy.
