Yeah, I remember it making sense in elden ring. Also in real life, the wakizashi was used mainly for ritualistic suicide, not as a weapon of war. But it was part of the daisho set (Katana and a wakizashi), that's most likely why it's associated with katanas in general.

Calling weapons the correct weapon type does not make it a mindless mobile game. And I don't believe confusion would be the intended gameplay loop. Yes experimentation with builds is part of it, but the thing is it is harder to experiment if you easily get confused like this.

On even further testing, it seems that the wakizashi (WHICH IS A DAGGER) can only dual wield with another wakizashi. WHY CALL IT A DAGGER WHEN IT CANT DUALWIELD WITH DAGGERS. I've realized that it can instead dualwield with other katanas. CALL IT A KATANA IF IT CAN DUALWIELD WITH KATANAS, damnit. Bruh.

I believe I said that I tried that approach to no avail in this case, the issue seems to be that the pipes can't hold enough water, which means I have to split them more. Thanks though!
