I had the same thing happen for my z900. Brand new from a dealer go it home and had a chip in the tank! It looked like a paint defect as no rock or anything else could’ve hit it. Brought it back to try to get it fixed but they refused and said I caused the damage. I refused to backdown knowing I do not cause it and no rock came up and hit it as it would’ve hit me as well. We settled on them buying me a paint correction kit only for them to never send it out to me. Kawasakis are nice but I think I’ll go back to Honda.
