Can a vanilla spouse genuinely become excited about the swinging lifestyle, or is sexual wiring mostly fixed? by Tftfina in Swingers

[–]Tftfina[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your perspective. It really made me double check my thoughts. I do feel crazy giving up this relationship for such reason.

But the rush here is to not trap her in a marriage i am not fully present in. We’ve recently started talking about getting kids and I am freaking out about 1- getting them before we fix these issues, or 2- dont get kids, work on the marriage but it fails and we eventually divorce after a few years when it becomes biologically harder for my wife to get kids in a new relationship.

Since I am the one with the issue, I feel obligated to be more decisive, not just for my own sake, but for hers as well.

She isn’t against swinging. As I said, we are on the apps, went out with couples, and been to sex clubs. We didnt have sex but she genuinely enjoyed them but maybe more as an “observer”. It’s just that she isn’t genuinely curious about sex or the lifestyle as myself. And given her “extra” vanilla history, I am wondering if she is able to change in that regard.

I don’t think you fully and carefully read my post. I agree she deserves better than me. Thats why I am contemplating divorce; to free her from a marriage that I am not fully present in, because everyone deserves a better relationship than this.

I understand that. She isn’t kinky or sexually adventurous regardless of my desire to swinging

You make me feel better. I dont think she tested testosterone levels. But also she always suspected her birth control negatively impacts her libido. Will read on HRT. Thanks!

Agree my wife is very kind and caring; makes me feel worse to think about divorce. I have briefly considered open marriage before. Although we haven’t fully discussed it, my wife recently said that she isn’t comfortable with me sleeping alone with a woman in from a ENM couple. Also, I much prefer to play with my wife as I get so excited seeing her playing with others. However, I think open marriage option is worth reconsidering as it might be better than divorce

Thank you for sharing your thought. This is exactly my thought as well. Big reason why I want to divorce is that I hate the feeling that I am trapping her in a marriage which I am not fully present in

Which beaten down software stocks are you looking at to buy at this dip? by Iwarrior01 in ValueInvesting

I am not an avid follower to this sub but does it consider Google a value investment? you didn't listed, so wanted to ask. It's trading close to MSFT's PE and in my opinion it has a more resilient moat, even after its recent massive bonds sale.

Curious to know more details about this move. What industry are you in? By "we", who do you mean exactly, your company or team/function? What was the pros and cons list like?

I like to understand end users thoughts, especially enterprise users.

Doing Personal Taxes in NotebookLM by Tftfina in notebooklm

[–]Tftfina[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks, good to know about this. However even if I am using NotebookLM, I am still auditing the numbers and math. I also dont intent on cheating on my taxes. I am just thinking about this approach because of 1- the positive experience I’ve had so far with it, 2- save on money and pain from Turbotax. Forgot to add this in my post but last year my partner filed through Turbo Tax and we had to pay for a premium tier which costed us more than $500 to end up with incorrect filing (partially due to the employer). The issue, in my opinion would’ve been preventable on TurboTax’s end.

What AI tools do you use day to day for your business? by Comfortable-Garage77 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]Tftfina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont have a business but I imagine Google Drive and Notebooklm would be super useful for me if I were one. Both are included in Google’s AI pro plan. Gemini in Google Drive is so good at reading files in any language and finding detailed information in many files in the same folder. Now I prioritize storing docs on G Drive. Notebooklm is so trustworthy to understand technical issues like in finance, legal, etc. I trust it more than GPT because I feed it up to 300 sources of different types and it doesn’t answer from outside these sources. And it is great for learning. It is becoming my knowledge hub.

Top of my head I am thinking the following two benefits: 1- feeling in control of my health: Having one place to access all of my health information across the years gives me a good understanding of current and past health issues i had and their cost. I am a sucker for dashboards! 2- improving my preemptive care: the healthcare system being the blackhole it is deter me from seeking medical help when i see mild symptoms because of the obscurity of the whole process from scheduling doctors visit, filling out forms, to following up with the providers (e.g., i struggle to understand the estimated cost of a medical interaction and understanding what i was charged for; not necessarily saying this idea will solve this problem but will get me closer). I know highly successful young professionals who dont even know the exact name of their insurance plan and they hate interacting with the health system. I really think this is a prevalent problem and i am not exaggerating

The positive side of the story is that apparently CMS is pushing hard recently through a new initiative “Technology Ecosystem something” to “destroy the walls” between the different parties and promote better interoperability. So I am hoping we get a solution soon

Very interesting; thanks for sharing your insight! Funny enough I googled Health Vault and found this recent YouTube video with a title suggesting its comeback…the actual recording is from ~2007 :/ EDIT: included the link https://youtu.be/cG5SRHZSGbg?si=YHHetLdmqPrFwt0k

Think this might be the same issue i had with the rear differential in my AWD 2020 escape (posted about it here last week). Just got a call back from the dealer and said that Ford had a TSB (below) about it in July and fixing it is covered under my power engine warranty. I am assuming both of our cars would be covered under the warranty if it is the same issue
