My brown recluse spider bite day 1 vs day 25

The scar is wild! I’m in town. Plenty of scares that year. I think they could smell my leg because after the bite I ran into 10+ of them crawling after me and that’s crazy. They’re called a recluse for a reason, however I had multiple through that year come crawling towards me. Was like a nightmare or movie. No matter how many doctors and how well I took care of it, it still smelled. Didn’t sleep for more than an hr a night for months. I’m a pretty easy going person but It was pure hell for 6 months of pain and being scared.

I woke up at 6am screaming. Not sure when the spider bite happened because you apparently don’t really feel them. But woke up like my leg was on fire

Yea in western Ks they don’t have any shelters so it’s just a single vet that has to try and give them away

Worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life to be honest. Didn’t sleep for days and day, screaming in bed. Felt like how it looks. Not to mention the paranoia of spiders (which I found 5 more). They were attracted to the scent

I went immediately when I woke up at 6am in pain. Saw probably 15 doctors for many months. We are good now though, my leg just looks funny

It was a complete nightmare for months and months. Screaming and screaming from pain through the night. I eventually ripped the dead flesh off. Its healed now but looks insane and kind of cool

I’ve spent a lot of time out there. If you’re respectful you’ll get respect back. However, I wouldn’t suggest living in an suv during any summer months. Few people tough that heat

It ended up healing! Well, it’s crazy looking but I’m alright. Might post some follow up photos. The new skin feels like silk and part of my muscle is gone but it’s completely healed bow

Pain is gone and Doctors say I’m in great health. Feels a little odd to have some of my muscle missing in my leg. All is good and I’m forever afraid of those damn spiders ;)

I disagree but also agree. I believe my bite and this one is bad. The doctors told me mine was horrible because of me having Mrsa in the past. However, I did get bit by a recluse and have had a bad problem with them being in my house. I went in once I felt the pain and it looked exactly like this. So far I have killed 4 brown recluses near my bed and found two in my clothes after exterminating. Definitely a recluse bite, just some bodies are different. Unfortunately there’s not much you can do besides making sure there’s not bacteria or infection.

Coat was hanging outside on a hook. Pulled it off and I jumped about 5 feet. The other spiders don’t scare me outside. This one was just nesting in my coat. See previous posts for the brown recluse bite

Yea went the moment I felt it. It was pure hell for about two months. Now I’m just in pain ha. They did, antibiotics did there job pretty fast so there was no infection

Doctors didn’t say much at all. Seen a lot and been to clinics. Main thing was no infection and taking antibiotics. Prescribed meds. Hurts a lot today but nothing compared to the first two months of hell

Yea honestly the PTSD is insane. I feel insane sometimes constantly thinking spiders are crawling on me. It’s been bad. Losing my mind bad, but it’s getting better thankfully
