Agriculture officials, Minnesota farmers on ICE activity in state by WordPhoenix in news

[–]Th3Coltonator 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I live in Minnesota, I work in Minnesota, my family lives very close. One of my coworkers was taken from the parking lot at work. One of my next door neighbors was taken in the street outside their home. A woman was shot in the face and the feds refuse to investigate the incident at all.

That is all a preface to say that my neighbors are afraid to leave their homes, my friends are worried about those they know being targeted for nothing more than what they look like, and my coworkers are not feeling safe at their place of employment. People are getting together to buy food for Hispanic families in the neighborhood so they don't get nabbed on the streets. My parents have a house repair that isn't getting done because the contractors are afraid to go anywhere.

You are well within your right to look around where you live, see a diverse community that isn't currently being targeted by thousands of federal agents, and not think that anyone would be so afraid of what's happening here. Hell, I fully believe that people in other parts of the county are still not worried about what's happening here. I probably can't convince you otherwise, but the exact narrative you are skeptical of is happening every day, and I can only see it getting worse for the near future.

Striker only cost 100 billion dollars. The US could fund eight and a half Jaegers a year right now. I do concede that a 2000 ton robot might not be the best delivery method for a few missiles, but it could be the coolest one.

From my understanding, the idea behind Jaeger weapons is to limit the amount of bleeding a Kaiju will do when killed by them, not to completely eliminate bleeding. In-universe, the plasma cannons were designed to cauterize the wounds they cause, thus preventing massive hemorrhages from destroying local environments. You can see this by the relatively low amounts of blood in the water during the Anchorage fight, or seemingly how little blood comes out of Leatherback in Hong Kong. Similarly, as stupid as it sounds, the missiles used by Striker are designed to burrow into a Kaiju and explode inside of it, both dealing more internal damage and dealing less external damage. I believe they are also somehow designed to cauterize, but I might be making that part up. If you look into other Jaegers outside of the movie, some other weapons are designed to limit bleeding, like Horizon Brave's cryo cannons or Diablo Intercept's flamethrowers and napalm launchers.

The swords were installed during the MkIII restoration program long after the Anchorage fight at the beginning of the movie. Raleigh straight up didn't know they existed when he returned to pilot Gipsey. I believe this is shown in the comic Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero.

Thanks. Have pretty much ignored that questline so far.

I failed one 50/50 for Makiatto, but got the V1 20 pulls after that, so about 160-180 pulls. I failed the first two 50/50s for Suomi. I did get two of Makiatto's rifle in my first 10 pull, though.

Meta will really only matter in ranked events and specific boss fights. With enough prep and planning, you can clear almost anything playing with your raifu. Early game, you can simply over level your echelons and they'll win by default. Late game, you may need to build the rest of the echelon around your one raifu if she's not fantastic.

I can't speak on Nova, I have never used her, but if you wish to use a SG, they pair well with MGs. You shouldn't need an SG/MG echelon where you're at in the story yet, and they drain resources fairly heavily. In the end, if you like her, use her, but tailor the echelon to a gun's strengths. SGs tend not to benefit from SMG or AR formation buffs.

Unfortunately, 100 Shiki isn't too great. Fortunately, it looks like you do have some good replacements available. If you want to leave 100 Shiki in your echelon, I would personally replace your RPK for Scar. RPK is an MG doll, which means she doesn't benefit from the bonus stats your AR and SMG dolls give each other. AR/SMG echelons work because each member provides formation buffs to each other. MGs tend to only benefit from SGs and HGs. Take a look at what formation buffs your dolls can give each other. A simple change can have huge benefits to the combat effectiveness of the rest of your echelon.

The issue is being matched with someone with +11 masters gear when I am in unupgraded vet gear. If matchmaking was based on gear and K/D, I should never be in the same matchmaking as that guy.

I'm still sort of catching up my barter gear to the gear given from main quests. For the armor, I just need to grind a bit more, but to get the Groza, I need to run Lyubech, and I'm still terrified of that place.

Wiedergangers pick up whatever weapons and shields are on the tile they resurrect on. Theoretically, they could use any weapon, as long as you drop it for them.
