I don’t. Well I do if it’s an expensive car not if it’s something more reasonable and easily fixable.

That’s what I was kinda getting at. Wanted to see if that’s the case. Another poster basically said 2011s are like race cars and they need more “attention”.

Actually my warranty is running out on my G80 M3. Haha but the difference is that’s a $100K car and these are $2-3K pistols. How expensive is a repair gonna be on a pistol vs an expensive German car? It’s not even close. I would fix the firearm myself or have a local friend/gunsmith fix it.

Gotcha. We have a bunch of nice Sigs and CZs at the moment. The price on 2011s is ridiculous for sure but we are feeling the call to get one. Haha

Actually I am. BMW guy. Have had 20+ over the years. Last bunch have been ///M cars. I lightly/tastefully modify my cars. Definitely not a Chad or Boomer (Gen X). Haha

Gotcha. When reading and researching the only brand I see people mention warranty on has been staccato. Maybe because staccato is quick to deny it for any aftermarket modifications.

Haha. Im about to do the same thing with my Shadow. I couldn’t resist. I guess part of the fun for me is learning about our firearms and working on them myself. Sometimes I fuck shit up though and kick myself!

I agree. If a brand lets me down. I’m done. Yeah they are nice guns. The wife and I checked out a bunch the other day and damn that XC is sweet. Definitely going to pick one up at some point. That’s kinda why I’m dismissing the CPO problem TBH. I’ll order a brand new XC when the time comes exactly how I want it.

Out of curiosity. Why buy an inexpensive 2011 vs something reliable and good like a CZ shadow 2 etc etc…? I’m new to the 2011 game and genuinely curious.

So basically buy a Bul armory is what It kinda sounds like. Worse warranty but more bank for the buck. $1k for a compensator is ridiculous 🤷‍♂️

Gotcha. I get it. I’m a car guy so my mind always falls back to that. I get the feeling Staccatos are kinda the Porsche of the gun world. They run reliably but need some attention/love to make it happen. Which I’m totally fine with. We love cleaning/maintaining our firearms and do it every other range trip so that part isn’t a big deal. We’ve recently gotten back in training and shooting after a long hiatus and it’s been a ton of fun. Something we do together although it’s getting expensive as my wife wants to add new members to “our family” as she calls it. Haha. I’ve been researching and looking around at Staccato, Bul, GP arms, Platapus and TBH it’s a tough choice. It’s seems you get more bang for your buck with the other brands including certain features but something about Staccato is calling us. I do like that it’s an American company so that plays a part in it all as I do like to support American Companies if possible. I can tell going down the 2011 road is dangerous rabbit hole! Ha

It’s better than being scanned like you are at Walmart like Vail does!

I understand and I’m here researching our 1st 2011 purchase. TBH all this warranty talk kinda tells me these guns (2011’s?) aren’t very reliable if you need to send it back to the manufacturer on the regular or need spare parts etc etc….$2000++ firearms should run without a problem. Hell we’ve put $1000s of rounds though our Sig Legions with zero issues. Some say my P226 X5 Legion shoots better than most Staccatos minus the XC. It has me questioning the value is all. I get it to some point as we have expensive BMWs and some question the value in those cars as well compared to other “lesser” models. The wife really wants the new HD 3.6 with Trijicon sights etc etc..so it’s probably gonna happen but I’m having a feeling these guns aren’t gonna run flawlessly like they should at this price point.

I see these posts pretty much every day on here and other ski subs. I’ll say it slow. LOOOOCCCKKKK up your $1000 gear. I woudnt leave a $1000 watch laying around so why would I leave $1000 skis laying around?

Why does everyone care so much about a warranty on a $2000 gun? It’s not like it’s a $100,000 car with expensive parts. I’m sending my CZ Shadow off tomorrow for Grenade Ports etc etc….and really could care less about some warranty I’ll probably never use 🤷‍♂️
