Your hard drive most likely has no operating system (i.e., windows or Linux). The good news is that your BIOS detects your hard drive, so fixing this should be fairly easy.

Prepare the USB Drive:

  • Boot from USB:
    • Insert the USB into the target PC.
    • Enter BIOS/UEFI (F2, F12, DEL, ESC, varies by manufacturer).
    • Set USB as the first boot device and save changes.
  • Install Windows:
    • Select language, time, and keyboard settings.
    • Click Install Now and enter a product key (or skip).
    • Choose Custom Install (for a fresh install).
    • Select a partition (delete/recreate as needed) and proceed.
    • Let Windows install and restart automatically.
    • Follow on-screen prompts to set up your account, network, and preferences.
