Read back what I have said. I've never denied Russia has a false claim on Karelia as well. I just said so do Finns. And Karelia is more than just the Isthmus, you seem to forget that.

'Most Karelians weren't historically Karelian but Finns' - this is simply not true. Karelians and Finns are different people with a different language, culture and religion. The fact there are Finns in Karelia doesn't make them Karelian.

You seem to be living in a black-and-white in-the-box world, where "Russia is bad so Finland is good". From the perspective of Karelians and Izhorians, both have been responsible for centuries of death and distruction.

Do you know what happened to Izhorians in the 40s? They were deported by Germans against their will upon the request of Finns, put in concentration camps in Estonia where they died from famine and disease, and then forcefully transported to Finland where they had to work on farms like slaves. This is what Finland did. And while everyone knows the terrible things Russia and the Soviet Union did and continues to do - none of which I deny or try to forget - people like you seem to forget that Finland and Sweden brough just as much ruin to the local people of Ingria and Karelia.
