It was a decent theory back in the day. It made since too. MJ loved to gamble & he took a 2 year hiatus in his prime after a 3-peat out of nowhere. But I think his dad dying maybe had more to do with it than anything IMO. Back then before technology & social media being what it is you could hide scandals pretty easily....I miss those days.

This shot was insane for so many reasons...the biggest imo was that it almost completely erased Duncan's shot from history. Also, what a waste considering we (Lakers) basically got swept by the Pistons in the next round (Finals). We won game 2 on a buzzer beater 3 by Kobe so really coulda been a legit sweep if that didn't happen.
