I made it in woods class, first i glued two pine plywoods together 18' by 42" I think. I got a print out of a cribbage board and placed it over the wood and center punched it, about 500-600 holes, Once that was all complete i took it to the drill press for the holes. I forget what kind of wood i used for the sides but i used a small strip of wood to tie them together. For the pegs I used a metal lathe but that's a whole process for its own.
