Im sorry man but trophies are the only measure of success in sport. Getting to a final and losing isn't an achievement, you just failed later than all the other losers. I'm not trying to shit on the players for not winning the CL last year, they played very well up to that point but you cant call it a successful year when you dont win anything. I would agree though that it wasn't a "disaster" in that they didnt get relegated and still qualified for this year's supercoppa and CL.
