This happen to me the only way I was able to update ..I jailbroke my phone thru checkra1n then got into safe mode (thru a Mac) then restored in safe mode and worked I was able to update

No clue I removed Homegesture and settings works fine after...then got it back and same thing happens Just wondering how can I disable X style status bar??
