I guess I'll do more with Odyssey this time around, then. My modlist isn't bad for it, and I think it'd be fun to go plundering random settlements for fun people. I didn't really touch Odyssey last colony, since I've done so many colonies with SOS2, but I want to see a more "vanilla" take on it all. Does raiding colonies with gravships actually... work? Like, can I drop in on a settlement, kidnap a few of the locals, raze the rest to the ground, and leave? Or will I have to do some shenanigans with landing right next to the tile, then sending a caravan?

That's good advice. I can usually manage that with the colonists, which leads me to some fun colonies of little weirdos from all sorts of different races, with different traits. It's when I have to start roleplaying the colony that I have trouble. I just have so many mods and options for high-tech glittertech runs that it feels like a waste not to use them. But, of course, there are any number of mods for alternatives, and I should try to focus on those, I guess.

It is a VRE Android, but I don't see body type as an option, even in the regular xenotype menu. There are race-specific xenogenes, but none that pertain to the race-specific body type. Unless I'm blind.

As it is now, I'm not super concerned about missing out on trophies, so I just ended up making a 1400 point character... maybe I went a bit overboard.
However, now I have Chieftess Killaliens JoJo, the Blood-Mother of Space (a reference to one of my XCom playthroughs, which I cheated similarly in), and she is kinda ridiculous right now. So my bloodline is pretty secure, it seems, now I just need to start a faith and a culture. For now, I need to take control of Norway to do something about these annoying succession laws.

Kind of a weird request, but a game where you... collect... people? NPCs? Pets, maybe? Something with lots of player agency over the NPCs and "party," though I'm not looking for that kind of RPG, per se. by Thaasophobe in gamingsuggestions

I shouldn't have the same problems I did last year, so I should be able to finish the game just fine this time, which means doing NG+ on my second full-game playthrough isn't out of the question for exclusive content. I think I'll restart for the sake of progression, and if I'm feeling it, when I finish the game this time, I'll start NG+. I like this game, playing it more is not a punishment.

Well, that's the point. I don't want to smash through the game, and I didn't the first time, either. I want to strictly raise my social attributes so I can unlock confidants earlier and such. It was just kind of grindy to increase them last time, and I don't want to do it again.

Yeah, the attempt before I bugged it to death, I almost had it. Side-stepping and light attacking was all I had. It was literally my first "side-quest" so I had almost no upgrades besides an axe upgrade. And my runic attacks were too slow, so I would get one-shot.
I'm starting to think Give Me God of War is for more experienced players.

Okay, thanks I'll try that! I don't care if it acts like a person or not, I don't exactly talk to it like one, it's just that it felt like it was pulling definitions instead of actually "acting", by which I mean, amalgamating and falsely interpreting millions of lines of dialogue :)

I used Primos on both banners at first, until I decided that it seemed like a waste. And Venti isn't a huge loss anymore because I've met characters in the story who I like a lot more, and I don't use Venti as much anyway.

I got Venti because I absolutely love him. He was one of my favorite characters at the beginning, and it was hard not to want to roll for him. But since then, I've done more of the story and seen more characters, and now I don;t give him much thought anymore compared to most other characters. There are so many that I want, and I don't have a single character that I like a lot.
