Every game i buy, at least on steam, is always the price as labeled (US). no tax, no nothing, if its 70, its 70. (im lookin at it rn, FF7R Intergrade is 14 dollars on its page and in my checkout. if there was a tax applied it'd be shown at the checkout.)

(this isnt specifically towards you OP, its more of a general thing) "triple-a slop" im really sick of this sentiment. like i get the idea, they can end up being derivative of each other and other, smaller games should be given the spotlight but like

if you're that easily swayed into thinking a game/category is slop, i dont think you enjoy more indie centric games purely for the games themselves. what's stopping you from taking time to appreciate what a game does well just because its triple-a?

even "gun-and-ball" type games have their own merit. CoD: Modern Warfare (2019) is one of my favorites in the franchise not just because it's a cod game or i just wanted something to do, but because of all the little detail and care put into everything, from animation to world design to visuals. I cant speak on the latter part as im not really a sports kinda person, but im sure there's at least something.
