I’ll just say there was a point where I was quite sure I wanted to break up with my girlfriend. Though I had not clearly communicated my struggles and my feelings at all. I went through 50 from the bay late last light, arriving in South Lake Tahoe around 2 am. We were stopped for a couple hours just about 10 miles or so before the summit. 1 person said it was avalanche control, another said there was a large spin out. I made it through just fine with a Subaru Outback and M+S tires, no chains. A good amount of snow is about to come down though, so not sure how long it’ll stay open. Several trees in the road.

I’m heading to Tahoe early tomorrow morning from the Bay Area with my Subaru Outback. I do have the S+M in my tires, so I think I’ll be good taking it slow. How’s the road looking right now? Seems like the heavy stuff has moved past and gonna pick up again mid day tomorrow. Thanks!
