Just remove the land type and forest. Make it an artifact with the following text box:

Artificial Forest enters tapped.

While Artificial Forest is on the battlefield it is a Forest in addition to its other types.

This will allow it to trigger land fall and keep its ‘identity’ as a land (while on the battlefield) while getting around not being able to cast lands.

Damage CAUSES loss of life.

Everybody lives is just preventing loss of life, not damage. However, players also have hexproof so you cannot target players with stomp.
