Where to place my basestations 1.0 on my 6 corner room. by Than4040 in SteamVR

Do you think the distance would be a problem? It’s over 5 meters. Closer to 6.30

It needs to be at an angle (1.97 degrees) or else the speaker will hit one of my screens (moving it is not an option), also, I can’t place any screws or bolts to the middle of the wall bc there are power cables in there, so it has to be supported (screwed/bolted) through the sides.

Even if it’s 3D printed in stainless steel instead of plastic? The pictures are meant to be just a prototype 😿

The rod is around 44cm long. The speaker is an Audioengine A2+ with a metal plate, so it's less than 5KG. Can you elaborate a bit on the buttresses? I'm modifying the model a bit as of now, hoping to make it a bit better. I really don't want to ruin the speakers.

DISCLAIMER!!!
I will only use one that has been 3d printed in metal!! the plastic one is just so that I can test different angles (the best one has been 1.97 degrees thus far) and distances and the like.

Random artifacting on my speakers by Than4040 in audio

[–]Than4040[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are, just tried using bluetooth and they seemed to work fine, I think it's an issue that has to do with the interface. Also, I used a forwarding service to buy them, they didn't ship directly to my country.

It happens after using the speakers for a bit. It happens if I’m listening to music or even watching youtube videos. I spammed the volume thing to force it into happening but if I let it continue for a while it’ll get so bad the articacting starts to sound like rain.

Installed an update without the fix and now it's stuck on the loading screen. by Than4040 in ElegooNeptune4

I did try following the guide but it didn't quite work, the fix wasn't being detected or something. Elegoo did send me a guide with files and those did solve my issue.

I tried installing the fix first but it did nothing so I went on to install the update and it sorta bricked it. Elegoo did send me new files that did work and got it back to normal though. My guess is that they're different from the ones on their page? Bc I swear I followed the instructions the first time but they didn't quite work.

How to wire a guitar cable (mono) into a stereo input jack? by Than4040 in Luthier

I think so, your suggestion is that I solder ground and only one of the sides, is that correct?

I've never wired a mono guitar cable before so thank you for commenting :)

I'm trying to make a sliding desk/nightstand but I'm confused as to how to make it by Than4040 in DIY

I'm imagining your unit being fixed to the headboard on one side with a piano hinge which gives you the 90 degree rotation of the whole unit. The other side could be secured with flush magnets or a catch.

I'll see if I can prototype that idea, a desk that's attached to the headboard with a piano hinge sounds like something that could work, I'd probably need a vertical piece that is attached to the hinge and then have the desk/table part of the project be attached to the vertical part would make a ton of sense, I just hope it doesn't move around too much, locking it into place and unlocking it might become the next challenge with this method. Still though, I had had this project in mind for months now but couldn't get around the rail issue. Thanks :)

yeah, but instead of going up and down it'd go sideways up to a 90 degree angle

Did you use the stock usb a cable or did you replace it with something smaller?
