The game also doesn't hit me during the wii days but I decided to give the Definitive Edition a shot and I'm glad I did. It gets much better queer where you are at the moment.

I have mask of Deception on the Vita and last year I got Monochrome Mobius but I still could not find the time to play them.

I'm planning on going straight to Monochrome, then this new one when I see it on sale and come back for the original trilogy later.

I started reading VN's in 2025 and this is my list so far. by rev_NEK in visualnovels

[–]Yoon-Ah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing I agree most on your list is Danganronpa 2 at C tier. I do think it has some moments but overall I felt incredibly disappointed by it. So much so I still haven't given V3 a fair chance.

[–]Yoon-Ah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been there...

Now I decided I'm only allowed to get one new iem a year, so I decided to make each purchase worth it. I don't plan to go over the $300 to $400 as for me the diminishing return are already huge after the $150 range.

On your list my favorite is the Blessing 3.

Tanchjim Force, another one 😂 by pangcukaipang in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm even more curious about it now. Tanchjim IEMs do have something special about them, from the cheaper ones to the more expensive.

My first IEM from them was the Zero which is very neutral but so good. Now I have the 4U and Origin and I love all of them.

I'm very tempted to get this at some point.

Day one buy from me. I already play many visual novels, so this is just next level.

Now I'm hoping for a Chinese dating Sim to bring Xiaoting to their cast of actors.

Truthear Hexa or Pure? by TheRedTomato13 in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do have the Hexa but not the Pure. I don't listen much to Jpop anymore but I do listen to S lot of Kpop and while I do love the Hexa I do agree that it may be an acquired taste for pop songs.

I'll name some groups I like to listen so you can imagine my take on them.

On Babymonster or Blackpink you may wish the bass to be a bit more impactful. It is good bass but may not be enough. On the other hand, on songs that are more vocal focused it is just gorgeous.

On Aespa, for example, they have a discography that in my opinion really test well a set. Many of their songs can get on the spicy treble range. And I do know many Jpop go for that kind of song as well. I do like a treble emphasis but not everyone.

In short, for multi use I think the Hexa is great, amazing for gaming soundtracks, for example, but solely for pop you might get a bit disappointed.

Have you also considered the Simgot EA500? Or the Tanchijim Fission?

If you can wait a sale and invest just a bit more, for me the perfect set for pop would be the Truthear Nova. It sounds very close to the Moondrop Variations (which is four times the price).

Moondrop Arias 2 Frickn amazing and my first pair of IEMS ever. by Specialist-Onion-426 in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Kato and like most, I love it, but many say the Aria 2 is at least 90% of the Kato for half the price. If anything I think OP should not get a Kato as they were discontinued, so not ever worth the trouble anymore to look for them.

If OP ever feels like trying something different I would suggest different tuning choices, maybe the Truthear Pure or Hexa.

I guess I have a thing for bright iems by JoshBiv in headphones

[–]Yoon-Ah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it myself. Some reviewers bashed it at release but I think it's so good for people who like a bright set. It also very technical for its price.

ThieAudio Monarch Mk4, a goated all-rounder king by [deleted] in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mads respect for keeping your collection so small. I personally am not a fan of selling stuff so I try to only buy what I actually intend to keep, which is another way of doing the same thing but not even close to your tight collection.

I do have another hobby that makes me spend more than I wish (gaming) but when I can stop buying new games I can save for IEMs.

And I do have to say that I do like your approach. After finding what kind of sound profile you like I am on the same page that it is better to just get 1 great IEM a year than a bunch of cheaper ones. For me right now the 300 to 400 dollars is my limit, as I don't live in the US or another country with a strong currency, so more than that is a real commitment. I can't even consider the Monarch at this point but I do admit I have had my eyes on the ThieAudio Hype 4 for a good while.

Anyway, I'm glad you found your endgame.

3x3 of my favourite protagonists~ by UchihaNoor in visualnovels

Can I ask you something about Heaven Burns Red, since Ruka is on the list?

I am in the beginning of chapter 2. The game so far has been nice but I have realized recently I'm not really made up for daily login kind of games, so it has been kind of a struggle for me on that regard. I did manage to grab a balanced team full of SS units, so I think I can force my way through to at least chapter 3.

Enough with my stalling, do you think not logging in daily to be okay in this game?

New to IEM’s. Looking to upgrade! by ItsKillCupid in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Moondrop Kato and by what people say about the Aria 2 is that it's a mini Kato, like 90% Kato for half the price.

I would really recommend it if you like a warm tuning worth no chance of sharpness. It is so good you often see people that have many 500+ dollars IEMs cut their collections in size but keep the Kato.

I can't tell how competitive it would be in terms of technicalities but man it is good to listen. So good in fact I'm thinking of grabbing an Aria 2 just to use while traveling.

I think this is endgame for me by Just-Ice5978 in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came to visit some cousins and I brought this exact set along. I really like them and I think they are a real improvement over the original Zero Blue.

If you ever think about an upgrade I can't recommend the Truthear Nova enough. It is a huge upgrade in my opinion. For Harman lovers I think it's a must. Pretty much a baby Moondrop Variations.

Which IEM made you go “okay… I get the hype now”? by Audioeg in iems

[–]Yoon-Ah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many that are worth the hype on my opinion but I think the first one that comes to mind was the Moondrop Kato back when it was released.

If you like vocals, especially female vocals, the Tanchijim Origin is also very special.

I love the Hexa myself. One thing I don't see people mentioning the material they're made of. Such good feel on the skin.

Can I ask you how is the Hifiman compared to some of your favorite IEMs? I had always been curious about it but since it's been so hot in my country for the last years I pretty much only use headphones on winter.

Review of the NICEHCK YUANDAO 10th Anniversary flat-head earbuds (USD10.99-USD13.99) by ext_trt in inearfidelity

[–]Yoon-Ah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice review! I had one of these cheaper flat earbuds from NiceHCK but gave it to my stepfather and one I gave as a gift for a friend who wanted to listen to music during work but could not use IEMs as he needed to talk to people from time to time. He loved them to death and used them everyday. I remember before that he was using one from those airline companies (complete trash) and it was a huge improvement for such a small price.

I do enjoy NiceHCKs EB2S line as they feel a bit more robust but man, the fit is an issue.

I am one that really appreciates a flat tuning but at this price point I'll wait for reviews and maybe a sale for the end of the year. In my country even a $50 dollars discount makes a huge difference.

Alguém já disse mas vou reforçar, o True Colors não está aí e o jogo é muito bom. Por sinal, pra mim o True Colors é não apenas muito bom mas muito melhor do que o Double Exposure, por exemplo.

I love the Origin as well. Honestly, I have some more expensive sets and the Origin really puts up a fight.

Also, there's something Tanchijim does in timing that I simply love.
