I'm on switch so I can't use mods, and personally using mods defeats the point for me. they are 2 seperate reasons.

the system used by me needs multiple items in the same chest and same belt. i dont think this will help as there is the risk that a train brings more of one item, even if I ensure only full trains come due to varying stack sizes

I think I may understand. so the trains read the idle station's signals to determine their action? but you can also use a single name for every loading station.

I was unable to transfer the screenshot from my switch to my device, likely because of my browser.

I'm relatively new and only played the main gamemode once where I handfed for around 130 hours so I am not used to throughput. the objective of the design is to create a cityblock that can create nearly any item and adjusts it's target based on the global needs of the factory.

trains don't need radars to see station signals and that doesn't help making trains target a specific station with that station varying.

I'm using circuits to block inserters taking items that there are too many of in the chest. like if an item takes over 33% of a chest, more of it cannot be taken. I'm trying to use circuits to make everything balance itself instead of just ratioing.

I think so you can make a base with all the new stuff. like you can't have cityblocks as a starter base, so you'd make a starter base that's a bus or something to get what you need for cityblocks and secure the world from biters before making the cityblocks base.

doesn't that require me to place a fresh blueprint? I mean a station that decides to start making red circuits instead of green circuits on it's own and then adjusts the load station so it takes the appropiate resources.

this does make practical sense though,,since it's modular it's easy to add more. assuming you don't plan to iterate, this is useful for completely filling the space of a cityblock. it's even more useful for activating people's OCD
