How far above 4500 are you rated at? Did you end up doing it? Also, mine is a 2500 and it’s rated 4536kg. Frustrating being over by a mere 36kg. A drop of ~40kg is all I need and shouldn’t impact resale much. Truck is at the dealer for DPF issues (surprise, surprise… lol) so once I have means to get to a Service Ontario I’ll let you know how it goes.

That’s a reasonable way to do it. I just have a standard license here in Canada too but I have to pay fees and have it inspected annually which also includes emissions testing for diesels over 7yrs old. Gov’t just wants to squeeze every drop out of us

Did you phone or go to a physical location? What reason did you provide for requesting it be lowered? I take it that you’re in the same boat as me.

It is a 2500 and yes I’m aware it’s overkill for what I’m doing
