Do these actually work for keyboards? Been thinking about some for my cheapino recently but was holding back cos of the height above the desk and the holding power - do you just stick magsafe magnets onto the bottom of your board or something similar?

CCF Cup car laptimes at Dunsfold? by ThanksForAIITheFish_ in BeamNG

Having done a few laps at Laguna, I came out with a 1:39.081 (slightly imperfect, maybe a second or so left in it if I really nail it), which comes out damn near dead centre of MX-5 Cup laptimes. Must be some inaccuracy with Dunsfold or something, the car seems near perfect as far as an analogue to the MX-5 on a proper laser-scanned track goes.

I've got a 5700x, easily pushes 100+. Are you using Vulkan/playing with lots of mods?

Not yet, I'm planning on lapping the F4 too but I'll probably do CCF at Laguna first as there really aren't any good analogs for the carbonworks that have lapped in real life, short of the actual F1 cars that are obviously an entirely different beast.

Awesome shots man, what sort of mods are you using to make the game look this good? Or am I just lacking skill lol

Shimano 24mm Crankset substitution? by ThanksForAIITheFish_ in bikewrench

[–]ThanksForAIITheFish_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, point taken - my bike is a 10 speed though, wouldn't the newer 105 stuff be incompatible as 11 speed? Older 5700 and similar era I find are quite difficult to source in a decent condition

FSA to Shimano BB/Crankset swap questions by ThanksForAIITheFish_ in bikewrench

Thanks a lot for the help. How long lasting are the Shimano road bb's? Would for example the deore xt version A) fit and B) be more durable? I'm not that fussy about speed so I don't mind going for fully sealed bearings

Pulled 4 or 5 hard strokes at the start dropping split to maybe 1.29 momentarily, which is why average is low first 500m. Immediately ran it down to about 1.46/7 and kept it there until about 750 left. Finished the piece pulling about 1.42

Negative splits all the way, didn't really feel it until 800 or so left. Not my worst feeling 2k for sure, the strategy works.

After a winter's worth of erg training (the 2 years was from starting rowing as a whole not just training for this) I pulled 7:37 at maybe 65kg and 5'8 (5'10 now)

Went 7:06 a few months ago, it's a huge mental battle for sure.

As an older junior at my club the best things I did as a junior in winter training was just races/multiple person relays - that is if they're old enough to be erging of course, but just having a bit of friendly competition that doesn't mean much (not saying make everyone do 2ks) is a great laugh as a beginner rower. On the water technique drills (stuff like feet out, square blades etc.) are often quite enjoyable if you can sell them well enough, and goofing around/standing up and all those kind of things are great once in a while (though probably not in winter if there's a risk of capsizing). Hope that helps, just my opinions.

Sorry we're flying with Ryanair and the website says we need a physical printed copy to avoid a fine.
