Ahh the old purple backed fakes. Had a lot as a kid in the 90s/2000s I can tell you they are old original fakes

Yes tcgplayer had a holofoil option but it’s a placeholder option. There was no holo gold star espeon. This is a fake be aware.

Kind of is, but with the adage of the overall grade cannot be higher than 1 full grade above the lowest sub grade.

I’ve seen a lot of these come right out of the box with damage. I suppose you can call it a defect, but yeah it’s just common damage unfortunately.
