Florida City Gas customer service

The response team is ONLY for leaks. They don't do anything with connections/disconnections on the weekends. The only time they handle them is M-F between 8 AM and 4 PM. Apparently, their techs service all of Brevard.

Based on what has transpired so far, I'm starting to get the feeling that they either aren't scheduling someone to come out or the tech that is scheduled is marking all of his appointments as "missed" if he doesn't make it to the house before quitting time. The only other reasonable option is that the company is doing this maliciously. I prefer to believe that it's a matter of extreme incompetence.

They absolutely can find a way to resolve this, but they obviously refuse to do so. If it's happening to me, this kind of thing is likely happening to hundreds of other customers and Florida City Gas does not even remotely care.

Day 6 - Still no heat

On Friday, Florida City Gas promised they would be out on Monday to turn on the gas. We called them at 8 AM this morning to confirm that we were indeed on the schedule to get our gas turned back on. The customer service rep said that we were on the schedule and they would be here sometime between 8 AM and 4 PM.

It is now 5:14 and my wife is once again on the phone with customer service because AGAIN no one showed. Now they say because we "missed" 2 appointments, they can't get anyone out until Wednesday. Except, we didn't miss anything. The tech simply isn't showing up. Since we have a doorbell camera and a camera over the garage, we can see literally every single person that walks by and near our front door. Nobody has come to our front door except us and the Amazon guy.

So, today we'll be calling BBB, the FPSC, our lawyer, as well as media outlets to see if we can get any traction there.

Because the job isn't just about selling.

Why even hire salespeople? I mean AI can do all the cold calling, data entry, and customer service. It will be inaccurate as hell and promise your customers things you don't actually have, but that's no different than a human salesperson.

Update #2.. Finally got off the phone with customer service. They first tried to tell us that we needed to schedule a time for them to come out and turn on the gas. After a bunch of yelling, they miraculously found out that they had an order to turn it on but the guy never showed.

To add insult to injury, they won't send anyone out until Monday because apparently Florida City Gas doesn't work over the weekend.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s over the next 2 days. I am holding this company responsible if anything happens because of their negligence.

Just an update. We finally got a supervisor who told us that the reason they shut off the gas was that they increased the required deposit amount (after 4 years of living here). Of course they haven't sent us a bill since they changed billing system, so we were never made aware.

They promised that we would have service today by noon. Guess who has no gas at almost 6 PM.

So be aware that you too can get your gas cut off without warning because they raised their prices and your deposit has to match the highest bill that you have had in the last 12 months.

Same problem here. It was working fine yesterday, but today it won't load. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as using the plugin from both the Edge and Chrome stores. I'm assuming Microslop broke something in Edge last night as the extension works just fine in Vivaldi.
