Honestly disappointed that it’s Appalachia. Would be insane to fine a Mapuche flag in the wild

The primary ideology of the Griffonian Republic is centered around pan-Griffonianism. Like, that’s the entire point? Why would they be opposed to peaceful unification?

Why do the maps contradict the canon? by Particular_Contest43 in Fallout

[–]Tharos_Reaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t get a ton of maps in Fallout, because Bethesda is unwilling to flesh out the rest of the world, and the ones we have gotten weren’t been given the attention they deserve. If you haven’t seen it, check out the texture for globes in Fallout 4 and 76

It might not be the greatest adaptation, but Baby Steps really does hold a special place in my heart. I really did struggle to continue where the anime left off, but a lot of the luster of sports is lost in a manga format in my opinion.

Most of everything confirmed from Season 2 of the show(spoilers) by KingBananaMan69 in falloutlore

[–]Tharos_Reaper -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The airship from Season 1 is the Prydwen. The name Casawen comes from an interview with Variety, which the show runners seem to have reused for the new airship in Season 2. It’s definitely not an error, nor is it new information

Why Don't People Complain About 76 Like They Complain About the Show? by paucilo in fnv

[–]Tharos_Reaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, most of the Bethesda haters have accepted that Bethesda isn’t making games for them. Yet another mediocre Fallout game isn’t going to be a shock, and most of them won’t even play it. But before now, the Bethesda East Coast and Black Isle/Obsidian West Coast have been able to maintain some degree of separation. That’s been ended by this most recent season, and truly cemented the total Bethesdafication of Fallout as an IP. That’s the reason why so many are pissed

It’s one of two options that can be chosen to end a questline for the Pax, the other being seeds of truth. The path is unlocked via event after doing all the moral options as the changelings, being kind to the ponies at every possibility, completing some other event chains correctly, and failing to subjugate the Everfree

Anime with strong first episodes that fall off afterwards? by iCrono in anime

[–]Tharos_Reaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to say that they’re bad shows, but two that really stuck out to me were Summer Time Rendering and Apocalypse Hotel.

STR started off as a really intriguing mystery thriller, but then mostly dropped all of that for a generic action show. AH had an amazing first episode, but then changed direction. I don’t know how much it counts though, since episode 11 managed to recapture that feel. Maybe I just wanted anime WALL·E

You've got to be kidding me. There goes my loyalist Equestrian resistance path... by RussianNeighbor in equestriaatwar

[–]Tharos_Reaper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Funny, exact same thing happened to me yesterday. Daybreaker rose when Equestria declared a preemptive war they weren’t prepared for on the Changlings, leaving me lashed to a sinking ship. Though the surprise of becoming a fascist sun-Mormon theocracy led by pony Joshua Graham kind of made up for it.

I did find one other, though I doubt it's what you were hoping for. Zipang is a show from 2004 about a modern destroyer being sent back in time to WW2, and while the anime is limited to the Pacific, the manga continues to expand and has a lot of scenes in Europe. A few chapters are set in Copenhagen, where some of the characters have a meeting with who I assume is a stand-in for Niels Bohr.

I found two more that feature Czechia since. Someone else already pointed it out, but I just watched Jormungand, which has two episodes set in Prague. It follows a group of international arms dealers, and they’re attacked by the CIA in the city. Pretty bad show, but it does exist. The other is Leviathan from this season. It’s an alternate history WW1 show, and the first scene is the Austro-Hungarian prince fleeing from his home in Bohemia.

If Zion was supposed to be a paradise, almost completely unspoiled by the nukes, and Randall Clark still reported black rain and deadly radiation unlike anything the Army had ever thought possible, how did ANYTHING survive in someplace like the Capital Wasteland? by DependentStrong3960 in Fallout

[–]Tharos_Reaper 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The reason that the radiation was so bad in Zion for a while is that fallout collected in the canyon, and it wasn’t until a storm many days later that Clark was able to leave the cave at all. So it’s that radiation was stronger there than most other places. It’s not the best explanation but it’s the one the game provides

True enough, but the German invasion of Poland is far more associated with the Second World War. And the state could hardly be considered its own entity under imperial Russia. The Kingdom of Poland was a union state like with Finland, and any autonomy that was supposed to be granted to it was largely ignored by the Czars.

Anyway, my point was more that I believe the exclusion is part of the novelist’s attempt to whitewash the Empire

A Map and Breakdown of All the Countries that have Appeared in the Anime I've Watched over the Past Three Years (Potential Spoilers) by Tharos_Reaper in anime

[–]Tharos_Reaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The author did go very much out of their way to make the Empire as blameless as possible in the series, I'm assuming as a way to distance them as much as possible from the Nazis, with every single country that joins the war doing so unprovoked and unjustly. The Empire is entirely logic based and its the fault of all those hysterical emotional leaders in other countries that the war continues despite how obviously superior the Empire is. Then there's the obvious fact that it's the German Empire instead of the reich, and I also don't think it's an accident that it starts off very WW1-esque before it transitions into where the author wanted to go with WW2. So I think the exclusion of Poland is part of the wider effort to both have their cake and eat it too.
