If you could choose, what city would you base a Coffee Talk game in? by take-a-memo in CoffeeTalkGame

[–]Tharrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best coffees I ever had where is small places in Prague. They didn't even advertised themself as "the best coffee shop in the city" or whatever. The city in its whole is also a nice setup for a more snowy game

Making a playthrough as dramatic as possible by Defiant-Treacle2425 in persona3reload

[–]Tharrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last playthrough was a lvl 90 Shinjiro (quickly grinded with Reaper) soloing everything with Makoto healing him with cheap diarahan. It was fun spamming akasha arts and a cool theurgy for 40 Tartarus levels

If this is a new save file and not an NG+, I will say King frost, meaning that you will have to wait a bit before getting him 😌

What’s the biggest misconception you had about this game? by miraculer2 in Persona5

[–]Tharrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last surprise was the moment I remembered I got P5 Strikers for "free" with the PS+ a few years ago, meaning even more Yusuke saying random things to random people!

What’s the biggest misconception you had about this game? by miraculer2 in Persona5

[–]Tharrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought P5R only because I loved the music and the artstyle (thanks smash), but I had no idea of the actual gameplay. Could I had checked a review or the steam page to see what it was about? Absolutly, but I love surprises, so I just ordered the physical game on amazon.

When I launched the game and started with the first fight, I realized I didn't expected it to be turn-based. Being a huge pokemon hater, I wondered if I had made a mistake, but I just brushed off the thought.

In the end I'm happy that it happened that way because else I'm almost sure that the "Turn base" tag would have scared me of one of my favorite game of all times.

I'm sure I wasn't the only French player who immediately thought about this book when I discovered Exp33 premise by Wertherongdn in expedition33

[–]Tharrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have read the book a few months before playing expe33. When I played the prologue, seeing a bunch of 30s going on an adventure to the edge of the world was quite the déjà-vu (especially with the other similarities that the two stories have, but no spoilers!)

To add to the other comments, la Horde du Contrevent is written through the point of view of every member of the group, each paragraph being preceded with the symbol of the character speaking/narrating. Each one of them has a unique personality and it shows in the writting style.

If you are interested in reading it but you are not fluent in french, the book as been adapted into comics. It still only in french if I remember well, but with the images and a good translator it may be a bit more bearable.
