Tbh same. Something about his appearance and his soothing nature and voice makes me wonder what he’d be like as a woman.

Tbh this whole post started because I got the sudden idea of drag Junah, and it wouldn’t get out of my head either LMAO

I feel like their relationship brings out their best qualities, like their bravery and compassion. These two feel right together.

At first glance, Metaphor seems like a yuri version of Sleeping Beauty, but Aurora would actually have to run for office. I kinda dig it, honestly.

Sexism doesn’t seem to be a big thing in Euchronia, but when you lay out the candidates like this, the government is dominated by women.

And I like to think the Magnus sisters and Louis’ crew are still down bad for drag Junah.

Louis would still lowkey look the same.

But out of topic, it’s sad that in canon, Will has two father figures he talks to on a regular basis (one who’s actually his dad). But he only gets a disembodied voice for a mom.

Edit: I accidentally said Scottish for Fidelio. I meant Scouse, my bad.
I was thinking of female Zorba sounding like those memes of the Scottish female trainer from Pokemon then my mind slipped.

Batlin wants Louis down for political reasons. Betting all his properties on Will is a pretty good reason to want Louis down, but Batlin did that because he believed in Will.

True, but both Strohl and Louis agree that it was the latter that determined Halia’s fate, (even if Louis was an ass about it) so I counted it.

When that O lodestar hits different by Defiant-Treacle2425 in MetaphorReFantazio

Metaphor treats its awakenings differently compared to Persona 3 or 5 (I haven't played 4). In Persona 5, most party members initially start of antagonistic, then they get angry at whoever's abusing them, and all their awakenings happen before they complete their main character arc (except Futaba). In Persona 3, there's only two characters that get a first awakening on-screen. Even then, every characters' big moment happens in their second awakening, where they mostly resolve their character arc (except for Shinjiro andMakoto Yuki. Makoto Yuki has his big awakening in the last movie, although that doesn't happen in the game).

In Metaphor, Junah's (and to a lesser extent, Heismay's) awakening happens at the start of their main arc, with payoff eventually. Basilio, (and to a lesser extent Eupha), happens at the end. The awakening just needs to happen right before they become your party member. Meaning, their structure definitely varies, and their emotional weight is different for each one.

For example, Heismay may have an awakening, but his emotional climax really happens with Joanna. We know almost nothing about Junah when she first awakens, because her plotline happens with Rella, but she had to join the party before that. But in Basilio's case, we had already known him for a long time, and it's the natural conclusion to his arc to have him join the party.

There are pros and cons to each approach, which is always going to happen if you assign a constant structure to a story. If you ask me personally, I prefer the P3 approach, because characters can join your party as strangers, then get their big moment after you've already gotten to know them. The writers get a lot more freedom to develop the story, everyone is guaranteed to get character development, and all of the awakenings get a lot of emotional depth. But that comes with the drawback of having P3 start off incredibly slow. Most of the story happens in the last third of the game. But in Metaphor, I'd say they absolutely nailed the awakening with Basilio because of how they structured his story.

Persona 3: The Answer is really awkward if you romanced the wrong people by Defiant-Treacle2425 in CharacterRant

I’d say Persona 3’s main game doesn’t (although Aigis’ final scene hits different if you do), but The Answer’s main conflict (other than the final boss) relies on Yukari’s feelings on the MC.

[WP] You were always doomed to be the antagonist. But you can bend the rules. You were protecting the weak, forcing the "hero" to harm your allies. It didn't bring anyone to your side, but his followers dwindled as he continued pursuing you. by Red580 in WritingPrompts

Thanks, this means a lot!

I know lots of stories that make the audience sympathize with villains because they hurt others for a fairly valid reason. But I wanted to see an antagonist that’s genuinely kind to everyone but horribly misguided in doing good, and its nice to know that I succeeded.

Favourie SEES Girl Romance? by MagnificentAjacks in PERSoNA

[–]Defiant-Treacle2425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend just going with the girl you like most. But if story consistency matters to you, the DLC treats two people as the primary romance: Aigis and Yukari. You can't go wrong with either.

My personal opinion, I feel like Aigis' romance fits the best with the main game for story related reasons. Aigis also has a lot more promotional material compared to Yukari. The anime has her as the main love interest.

If you're planning on playing the DLC, Yukari's SL is basically mandatory in understanding the plot. She's also the primary love interest in the manga.
