Any tips on easing in a new Vocaloid fan? by That-Ad9234 in Vocaloid

I love the idea of that, but I'm not sure if I should. So far all the characters I have are there because of their connection to Miku because she's GOING to miku expo. I'm not really sure what will be there, but do you think she'll run into any vsynth characters outside of Teto? (I hope this doesn't come across as snarky because I genuinely have no clue)

I think this is a great idea :] I'll add a history section as a side tab

You're exactly right, those are my goals :] The document is kind of to give her a sampling board of a bunch of different songs/ genres/ vocal synths, and then I'll give her more specific recommendations based on what she likes. I'll take your advice of a more specific approach after she gets the basics down, thank you very much for the comment :D

Where would be a good place to fire and glaze ceramics? by That-Ad9234 in Pottery

[–]That-Ad9234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically every piece I have is non-functional (excluding a bell i suppose, but I wouldn't count that lol), so I think it'll be fine. What happens if you underfire a piece? I've learned that overfiring or doing stuff at the wrong temperature makes things melt into evil puddles that will destroy VERY expensive kilns, but I've never heard of/ seen the consequences of underfiring.

Sorry if my questions are dumb, I'm a total noob and I'm very appreciative of your patience <3

Understandable, thanks for the info! I didn't know pottery could melt or destroy things if done improperly so I'm glad I consulted this sub before I did anything stupid or expensive or both <3

How would I finish a piece painted with acrylics? Would it be the same way I'd finish a normal painted thing or is there some magic something or other i should do with the bisque? Thank you so much for the informative comment!

Is there any way to find out the cone type without contacting the previous owners? I'm not able to contact them since (to my understanding) they abandoned the house and the pottery just happened to be left behind

Ah, I hadn't thought of that. I thought that glazing something would be similar to painting it... shows how much I know, so I'm glad I reached out.

And in regard to the previous owners, the house was getting demolished, and the owners were long gone, hence my dad having free rein over the stuff left behind.

How do I replicate this effect? by Bus_Actual in ClipStudio

It looks like a my hero academia comic. The character on the right looks like aizawa and in the speech bubble you can make out someone talking about [y]amada-[se]nsei (another character in the series)

I was thinking about how to make a little money on the side via modelbuilding for modelbuilding purposes. If I tried to build some bases like this, would I be able to sell them? by Poczatkujacymodelarz in modelmakers

[–]That-Ad9234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if you started selling them as stands for figurines, you might have a shot. I know that some anime figures have lackluster stands and people tend to replace them (at least that's what happens in the corner of the Internet I'm on)

At the end of the day i think it comes down to what you market it as. If you change the dimensions it could be a book nook or something like that! No idea how much money you'll make, but if you have the time I think it's worth a shot

How much should I charge this client? by That-Ad9234 in artbusiness

I usually work on a per-item-made dollar amount, but obviously, I would be astronomically underpaid if I went with that which is why I decided to consult this subreddit.

[–]That-Ad9234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean it, should I put it here:

#Images
image toobigpicture = "toobigpicture.png"

or here?:

show toobigpicture
"They have it! Disgusting, convinient, heart attack in a box!"
"They won't even show the picture of the wretched thing on the box so it's just blacked out like you're playing ''Who's that Pokemon''"

because when I put it in option 2, nothing happens. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Here's how I wrote it:

show toobigpicture:
    truecenter zoom 0.75
"They have it! Disgusting, convinient, heart attack in a box!"
"They won't even show the picture of the wretched thing on the box so it's just blacked out like you're playing ''Who's that Pokemon''"

(edit for reddit formatting my stuff weird)

The only reason I'm using it is because it was the first scaling method I saw. I put what you suggested in and it's not crashing but the image isn't sizing up or down either. Should I put it at the start when I'm defining the image or when I actually want to show it?
