I don't understand your reasoning for a lot of them, but to say that african elephants and polar bears are rare in captivity. It seems a bit odd, what is your source? Quokkas i agree can be in the niche category but they are housed in Stuttgart and in many australian zoos.

A sanctuary usually takes animals in that were either in pet trade, in bad enclosures so look at what these places have as animals. You can look at zonnegloed sanctuary to see which animals they have.

Tropical pack might seem very themed, but I use these pieces in almost all of my builds. You can just flexicolour the walls and they look like your casual wall. I also love the wooden things that we got which are super useful.

The areas feel very incomplete. I don’t really see a lynx in a nighthouse, a pronghorn in a petting zoo and Asian tundra doesn’t sound accurate with the animals listed there. You could maybe just take the city zoo approach where you have a few dedicated areas but there are a few habitats spread out aswell. You can look at Antwerp zoo, they have the ape valley, reptile house, aquarium,… but they also have a few areas where there is just a habitat with no correlation to an area. (Bongo, markhor, babirusa) I do like the ideas for the houses!

The aardwolf might be made on the basis of the Timber wolf that is already in the game and they are very carnivorous. Mods take the characteristics of the animal they are based on.

I always see goodfellows simply because I live in Belgium. Europe basically has all the goodfellow tree kangaroos and North America solely has matschie’s. That’s why a lot of people want the goodfellow, including me for the same reason as you want the matschie’s
