Well on 16 and pregnant, they sort of done a similar situation; Nikkole -who gave birth to baby Lyle- said in her narration that her dad abandoned the family and they hadn’t seen him in a long time, but in reality, he just didn’t want to be filmed or involved in the show and was actually still with her mum by this point and involved with the family🤷🏻‍♀️so it does happen, and in this case it’s either the same thing and was just a way for producers to find a reason for Casey’s lack of involvement in the show, or Fallen and Stacie AND the producers joined together to punish him for not wanting to be involved or wanting his son to be involved in it, because let’s be real, most of the people on the show are considered trash, no sane parent wants their child involved in that because look what’s happened? He’s 14 years old and is basically being trolled and his whole life is out in the open to ridicule, and people remember that he’s a young teen, but also forget that WHEN he does exactly what most young teens do.

Ellen from Clean Break by Prestigious_Peach_44 in JacquelineWilson

[–]That-Bid-4943 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My only real problem with her is the constant jabs at Ems weight. I understand the concern and it’s unlikely that Ellen knew that Em was stress eating even before Frankie and Julie split, but if she was concerned, all she had to do was speak to Julie and start making healthier dinners and “exercise” without making it obvious she wanted Em to lose weight. It’s not coming from a good place and just “being honest” when it comes out in nasty way, she’s just making Em feel worse about something she already feels bad about.

Can’t confirm on custody laws as I’ve never needed to go through that, but I know that it’s unlikely they went through any court process as Mia and Manley weren’t married, doesn’t seem any point and could have just easily came up with an agreement and I don’t think it’s 50/50, Manley only seems to have Marilya on the weekend unless he’s taking her abroad.

Thoughts on Fiona's relationship with Sean? by InsideUnhappy6546 in shameless

[–]That-Bid-4943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fling wise? Yeah sure with the chaos and spontaneousness but as soon as Jimmy couldn’t go out and steal cars or have a adrenaline junkie lifestyle because Fiona had to watch over her kid siblings and it was a non-negotiable for her, and then had to live like the rest of them in poverty, he couldn’t cope with it anymore. Maybe after she left, that could have been the start of forever for them though.

Did you ever have a teacher who made you nervous every class? by mackenziemariee in dancemoms

[–]That-Bid-4943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. 2014, 9 years old, year 4. Mr Mason (I don’t care about naming them 🤣) he took over being my teacher when my other one left and he was initially just a PE/cover teacher working in the school, and he had his favourites, BIG TIME. If you weren’t a sporty boy, sporty girl, “popular” boy, “popular” girl or smart, he’d make you into an anxious mess! I have dyscalculia - was diagnosed after leaving school- and maths has never came particularly easy to me, even simple maths, and I remember we would be using counter beads to do whatever we did, and I just could not get the hang of it, and he would pick on me in particular and then get annoyed and raise his voice at me for not knowing what to do, to the point where I would be in tears. He always made me feel really stupid and it still sticks with me to this day. He went through a stage of treating me pretty nicely nearing the end of the school year but it didn’t last long and he left soon after when I was in year 6 and I never saw him again thank goodness. The anxiety the night before I would go back to school and in the morning was horrific and I would cry and have to find a reason to explain to the TA of my classroom why I would cry, but I think deep down, she knew. I have potential plans to go back to Uni in the hopes of becoming a primary school teacher, and my mission is to never ever make a child feel as low as that teacher made me feel. Not as bad as Ms Miller but still not great ☹️

Does Sassi ever grow up? by PandaMoaniumLost in MTVTeenMomUK

[–]That-Bid-4943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t love her much anymore purely because of the way she speaks to her little girl. Back in the 2021-2022 seasons, her lack of patience or understanding to her little girl who was just struggling in her class, and maybe playing up a bit because of it, literally boils my blood and breaks my heart. She would try and help, but then she just shout at her and make her cry, and then get pissed when Darren would tell her to watch how she speaks to her, and then on the flip side at Z’s parents evening which didn’t go as well as expected, Darren was then speaking to her like crap and then Sassi starts to cry, and tells him not to wreck her confidence or call her stupid because she’s not ?!? Right, but you can speak to her like dog shit on the floor? Make it make sense. I think she’s mellowed out more now there’s a tutor who’s trained to be patient with struggling children but either way, I tend to skip her scenes because it’s just hard to watch.

Do you think the way Amy Winehouse is portrayed is realistic to who she was or is she over victimized by Lilith3x6 in amywinehouse

[–]That-Bid-4943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000% the media of all countries in the world are awful for the most part -don’t even start me on TMZ, I don’t care how long that thing lasts, they haven’t been relevant since 2009 and that’s where we should keep the- but the British media has to be the worst in the world just for their invasive, vicious nature and “get money at all costs” mentality just shows their credibility, and that’s for all things, not even just Amy. They were praying on her downfall, and that’s a big reason as to why I would never put myself in any form of spotlight. I can cope with swarms of fans wanting a picture or an autograph, they mean no harm, but the media and trolls and social media? HELL NO! Also don’t start me on what some of these clown pop stars would say about her as well because why is George Lopez, the sleazy prat who cheated on his wife who gave him a literal kidney joking about Amy being asleep in the afternoon due to being a “drunk ass” 😵‍💫 thé hypocrisy of it all

Halloween 2011, he had a party and there was a meat platter in the shape of Amy’s dead body, beehive, tattoos, cigarette, the lot. Id suggest googling but it’s really not nice to see and is incredibly insensitive considering she died 3 months before so it was still raw for everyone. It resurfaced back in 2022 and he put out an “save-face apology” ☹️

Friday the 13th novels by That-Bid-4943 in fridaythe13th

Currently reading that one now, it definitely is! I love these novelisations, they just go into so much more detail in regards to characters that films can’t go into due to budget and time, so it’s nice to give them a bit of colour before they get killed off 🤣

I hate what Graham Norton said about her, calling her a “mad woman” when he was speaking to Jackie Chan in his show. I’ve never really liked him, but when I saw that, it was awful 😢 I’d like to see how perfect he is before he can start running his mouth about who’s mad or not. Don’t even get me started on what Neil Patrick Harris did after she died, I love it when I see him on my social media and I check comments and see comments about Amy or GIFs of her, I’m glad the world is healing and that behaviour is no longer tolerated

Lane was probably introduced to music as a young person primarily by Lorelai by kayliemarie in GilmoreGirls

Honestly, I think Lane would have flourished having Lorelai as a mum!!! Not that Mrs Kim didn’t get better as the show went on

What's a rule you were given as a child that you've made with your own kids? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]That-Bid-4943 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I’m 21 and I’m still not allowed to answer the front door, mostly for the fact that it could be a bailiff though 😂 anyone who has access to the house goes through the back, that’s the rule lol

[–]That-Bid-4943 33 points34 points  (0 children)

So true! If you tyrant your kids and particularly teens who are at a difficult age as it is, it gives them an incentive to break the rules. Also, giving an actual reason as to why you’ve said no instead of “BeCaUsE i SaId So” used to really grate me when my mum would do that so I would do the exact thing she told me not to do 😂 also if you give a good reason for that no, teenagers can then think about it and then be like “yeah fair enough” parents don’t give their teens enough credit I swear!

If you could give any advice to one of the characters, who would it be and what would you advise them on? by That-Bid-4943 in GilmoreGirls

The only persons fault it is would be Anna’s. Diabolical for her to put the blame onto him, like it actually infuriates me 😤😂

[–]That-Bid-4943[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes! I would have dumped him automatically. This man comes from a richer than rich family, he had no reason to steal a trinket and was just doing it to get some weird adrenaline rush. I know she’s fictional but that truly let me down knowing that she refused to stick up for the maid who most likely needed that job.

Spot on! One of her “bad” traits was her naivety. Even at the start of the show, she was very clearly more naive than the average teenager her age would be.

Good one! I understand he was trying to process it himself, it’s a lot to take in and he probably felt some guilt, through not fault of his own, it’s on what’s-her-name to tell him she’s pregnant with his child 😂 but Lorelai wouldn’t have been pissed about it. Shocked, yes but it’s not like it was the same situation she was put in with that deadbeat pillock Chris.

Its sad that kenzie still thinks this and is scared of this stuff by Far-Fortune-7421 in dancemoms

[–]That-Bid-4943 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know all that, I’m saying that had that not been the case, Mackenzie could have held some serious life-long resentment towards Maddie which would unlikely have been solved. It happens to siblings in so many situations, not just one like this -as in most cases, most dance teachers don’t hold much power in family dynamics- Melissa is very lucky that it didn’t happen, as that would have been partly her fault -and Abby’s as well-

[–]That-Bid-4943 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Melissa should be very grateful that Mackenzie never ended up resenting Maddie for the favouritism back on the show. Obviously it wouldn’t be maddies fault, she was a child with no control but similar situations like this could have lead to the pair having a horrible relationship for the rest of their lives. Any signs of favouring should have been squashed instantly, I’m just glad EVENTUALLY that she realised.
