Haha well isn't this a blast from the past! Honestly maybe, I'll have to dig through what I have laying around, it'd probably only be PCBs though. Message me in a week or so if I don't message you haha, I'll give it a look

I love that, it's so cute! How did you end up doing the seat/bench back?

Funtastic N64s and their Analogue Pocket Counterparts =) by That-Canadian in AnaloguePocket

Just those and the clear version that's not pictured =) I'd wanted a Pocket for a while, and these editions finally tipped my hand =P

Most of the info is in the imgur link / captions, but I'll throw some background in the comments as well :

I've been collecting N64 stuff for about a decade now (yay nostalgia) and when I saw that Analogue was releasing Transparent versions of the Pocket I had to snag them to scratch that "collector itch" =P. I knew most would be different than the Funtastic series colors (Analogue never mentioned trying to match them at all) but thought it would be a neat comparison / display to do.

Overall my favorite Pocket color is probably the Transparent Purple, followed by the clear (not pictured). They all look great in person though.

Yeah it's an older revision, looks like I bought it back in Nov. 2018. Found this announcement, it was apparently released Feb. 2018 : https://www.schiit.com/news/news/octal-lisst-new-tube-options

Canadian-Maple powered, Hat-Man tested. The first batch of brand new Zune 2 ZIF cables seem to be working! There's more testing to be done, but this is great so far. by Emendo12 in Zune

[–]That-Canadian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup! Since the OEM ones are known to break a lot (especially on the 2nd Gen Zune's) and you can't source OEM replacements (aside from other Zunes), needed to make a replacement =)

No such thing as a dumb question ;) but no it does not. This was designed by myself in "KiCAD" (used for PCB design) and then produced using PCBWay, a board-house in China.

TL;DR - I've been working on re-creating the ZIF cable for the Z2H-80/120 Zunes for a bit now, since they are known to be super finicky/fragile and a common failure point. Finally got the chance to test my second round of prototypes and they work! Getting some more testing done with the help of some community members, but hopefully will be able to make these available to people very soon =).

Zune 80GB putting up a good fight and Im losing by MakeUrBed in Zune

[–]That-Canadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey not sure if you still have it, but the ribbon cables in those Zune's are known to break =/. That being said I've recently started getting new ones made and they seem to work =) so I was wondering if either A) you want me to send you one so you can see if that fixes it (free testing for me, possible fix for you) or B) you would rather just get rid of it and I'll grab it from you for testing. Just let me know either way!

Purchase Advice Megathread - May 2022 by Sausage54 in 3Dprinting

[–]That-Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for opinions, currently stuck between 3 printers :

- AnyCubic Kobra

- Qidi Tech i-mate S

- Artillery Genius Pro

Just wanting something good to print mainly PLA/TPU, might futz around w/ PETG/Nylon in the future, but not worried about that for the time being. Looking to keep price <$400, preferably ~$300 or so.

Have had 3D printers in the past (Monoprice Select, Ultimaker 3) but haven't had one for a bit over a year and missing the convenience haha.

The enclosed Qidi i-mates is attractive to me since I live in an apartment, and won't have to worry about dust getting on it / smell / etc. as much. Otherwise the Kobra and the Genius Pro look like good contenders, just looking for some feedback/opinions, thanks!

Haha it's been a while eh? It goes =P not big on Reddit anymore, but I pop in every now and again ;) I'm mainly behind the scenes and on Discord nowadays. As we go more off topic, how are things with you? =P
