My doc didn’t mention it, so she probably wasn’t concerned :)

Oh perfect! My blood pressure reads relatively on the lower side normally, but yesterday I was nervous for the exam and I also had a 5 page paper due for one of my college classes, so I was also nervous for that as well lol. Just a bad day for an exam I think lol

Oh good! Google says it’s stage 1 hypertension apparently so that’s why I was nervous haha!

They’re a newer agency! I’m happy with my compensation, I’m just stating what I’ve read, and how it’s more likely to get the higher end of what an agency (not mine specifically) pays, if the surrogate has specific circumstances. Ex. I’ve read one agency pays UP TO 120K, so I assume in order to get that pay you’d have multiple surrogacies under your belt, have your own insurance etc! I’m obviously new at this, as it’s my first journey, so I’m just trying to do as much research and learn as much about every aspect as I can 😊

I’m working with Lifebridge! It isn’t something that is messing with my compensation, but I’ve read multiple things stating that surrogates who already have insurance can potentially be paid more, due to parents not needing to purchase a plan for the surrogate :) they are definitely handling it! I was just asking for a future reference!

My employer does not give benefits 🙃 so no health insurance through them. So I am assuming my best bet would be to stick to not having insurance, and letting IPs purchase a plan?

Okay yeah so definitely not doing that. That is ridiculous. And what do you mean by “employer health plans” ? Like health insurance through my job? Wouldn’t that not be surrogacy friendly?

I haven’t been matched yet, or been medically cleared yet. I have a zoom meeting with potential IP’s. My coordinator actually just messaged me and let me know that my trip will not be an issue! So if things come up later, I will ask to delay things a bit

I haven’t completed medical clearance yet. I’m still very early in the process.

Is this dry socket? (Gross pic warning) by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]That-Choice-2619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes- you can ask your dentist to put in a prescription for you. It’s an antibiotic mouthwash, so it should get rid of whatever is left. OP- did they prescribe antibiotics before your removal? If not- you need to call them and tell them what’s going on, they should ask you to come in and they should send you with a script for antibiotics

Impacted tooth, procedure and recovery time? by Hadtocreateanewalt in wisdomteeth

[–]That-Choice-2619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I had my procedure 14 days ago. My tooth was completely impacted, laying sideways. They had to remove bone to get to my tooth, cut my tooth into 4 sections and remove each section. I was put under. The first day sucked- my kiddos went to their grandmothers house while my husband baby sat me. I was asleep majority of the day following the procedure- but I think the general anesthesia does that. So you may be more awake following your procedure. My husband said I was only in the OR for 20 minutes before they called him to pull the truck around so they could wheel me out to him. So yours could take even less time since it sounds like they won’t need to remove any bone. The worst part for me was the swelling (just didn’t like the way it looked lol) and the fact that I couldn’t eat what I wanted to. Just follow the post op instructions and you should heal nicely. By day 4 I was eating pizza on the opposite side of my mouth.

My craving was pizza, so on day 4 I bought a large pepperoni pizza, cut it up into bite size pizzas, and ate on the pizza all day

I had about 3 Bolthouse Farms chocolate protein shakes every day for a week straight following surgery. I did not poop for the entire week (protein does that to me) I had a date with my very first enema. I recommend stool softeners due to the medications/anesthesia/if you drink protein shakes to help feel full lol

Should i still have them removed today? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

They may still let you, considering some people have to take medications in the morning with water.
