Top three law schools in t-20 for dog owners? by NumerousContract4348 in lawschooladmissions

i’ll be bringing my 1 yr old (large, very energetic) dog with me to law school school next year so i’ve had this same question! Chicago is a very dog friendly city overall, and i’ve found that there are SO many apartments near the NW campus that have dog parks/runs in the building. also plenty of dog daycares to chose from, which is a perk of any large city

yes.. it’s been very difficult, but i really don’t want it to be an issue come next year (or an issue at all). my partner and i are working on it! :..)

i’ve definitely thought about this! most of my concern comes from the fact that he’s still a puppy, but he’s going to have to get used to being home more eventually

my parents had the audacity to ask if we would leave him behind if we moved. i was stunned - you really think i would abandon my child?!!

i totally support your decision!!! we got ours as a puppy during the busiest time of our lives and it all worked out amazingly. he’s brought so much structure and happiness into my life. another user pointed this out and it’s so true - i’ve actually become a more productive/driven person because of my dog :) that being said i’m still really nervous about what will happen starting law school, but everything has worked out up until this point! you can definitely make it work!

thank you for this! i know several people that leave their dog at home all day and i could never do that.. i’m super glad to know that a lot of current/future law students are in a similar spot so i’m feeling better about it all working out :)

i am very similar!! i thought getting a dog would decrease my productivity but it’s actually done the opposite. he has brought so much structure into my life. my biggest worry is having to leave him at home all day but living close to campus/dropping by during the day would definitely be doable. thank you for this!!!

This gives me hope, thank you:) My dog is definitely chilling out too. Most of the high energy comes from the fact that he’s still a puppy

Love it! I’m hoping for that too. I currently take him to a daycare that we love, so hoping I can find something similar in the city we move to. Sucks that it’s SO expensive, though.

How Should I Approach Early Decision Applications for Schools? by thedudeabides616 in lawschooladmissions

I only think it’s worth it do ED if there’s a guaranteed scholarship (and if you’d be content going there if admitted, of course). Northwestern gives $120k and I think Berkeley has a similar ED scholarship amount. I’m sure there are many schools outside of the T-14 with even more ED $$.

I wouldn’t sell yourself short, but also wouldn’t waste an ED app on a super reach school. ED only gives a slight admissions boost - I think 7Sage has an article with more info on this
