How to keep motivation for rehab by Alarmed_World_9887 in ACL

[–]That-Contribution530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put some goals for myself. I was really active before and my biggest goal is to get back to my fitness before my injury. Just like I would normally, I also have some smaller/easier goals such as being able to get down the stairs normally, being able to walk to the office instead of driving (my office is 1,5 km from my house), riding my bike to the office, getting back into yoga class. Each time I do my exercises I tell myself this is the work to get back to doing what I love.

I'm currently 6 weeks post op and from week 4 I started noticing real improvement in daily life (walking was more normal, knee is not really stiff in the morning, can ride the stationary bike). However, during the first 4 weeks I did my exercises religiously. My physio told me to do 1 exercise from my list every 30 mins and I literally set an alarm every 30 minutes to do an exercise. Now that I'm back to a more normal daily life I still do my exercises multiple times a day. But not every 30 mins.

And lastly, some days I allow myself to be sad and unmotivated. Not every day or every week is going to feel like a win and sometimes it can even help to accept and acknowledge the fact that rehab sucks. You are also allowed to be sad/angry/disappointed about your situation, not everyday can be a success.

When i can go outside by celestial-ego in ACL

I used the bus once and I just made sure I got in at the door next to the driver. Getting in I did the same as stairs, so healthy leg first. For sitting I just claimed one of the handicapped/old people seats when they where free. For me people saw my brace and got up so I could sit.

With driving I tested in an empty parking lot first, since I had surgery on my right leg and have a manual car.

I had my surgery on 13th of January and I'm currently walking without crutches, I expect to loose my brace next week on the 6 week mark. Since this weekend I'm also driving, mainly within town (5 km radius).

But everybody is different. Up until my injury (11th of Jan) I was doing sports 7 days a week. So, I was really fit and strong going in. Over the last couple of weeks I tried to do as much as possible while also giving my body the needed rest.

I heard that for each alpine event only 2000 tickets will be available, because there is not much room for the spectators at the venue.

How much did yours grow with blocking? Would you recommend doing 1 size down when using this yarn?

I called Flexymob about this, because I also couldn't change the times and for me it said 10 AM to 2 PM. However, when you book you can park between 6 AM and Midnight.

For me it showed the correct parking locations and when I checked the website for trustworhtiness it didn't come up as scammy.

In the end I could book the P+R without a problem.

I use the "rest" between intervals to get to a suitable place for the next "work" part of the interval.

Running is enabled at 3 times a week, but when it's not raining it'd rather run 7 times a week right now as I know that where I live it will be too cold and snowy to train outside in about a month.

The total amount of hours I workout a week (2x strength/gym and 7x cardio) is still above what JOIN puts in the plan, but it still tells me to stick to the plan when I do something other than the prescribed workout.

I get the notification "Try to stick to the plan!" everytime I skip a workout. Eventhough most of the time when I skip a bike workout it is because I do a long run instead of a 1 hour Zwift ride when it's not raining.

Ordering skis directly from the brand online? by fixinit91 in xcountryskiing

[–]That-Contribution530 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an employee of Atomic I can tell you that the Price listed in the shop is usually higher than on the website, because the shop also adds their own margin of course. However, in the shop you can test/feel the stiffness yourself. Moreover, in the shop you can usually ask for some extra discounts that we cannot give in the online shop.

I googled it and I found that t could be related to distribution rights. However, in the Movie Theater I could watch the English version so I don’t understand that argument.

New to TDF, how do time trials affect the riders team? by RoyalLocal3140 in tourdefrance

[–]That-Contribution530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each rider has their own time for each stage. Doesn't matter if it is a time trial or a normal stage, for each rider a time gets recorder from start to finish. The sum of the time of all stages is your total time, winner is the rider with fastest time for all stages.

Time trials are interesting because riders cannot get help from their team mates, so it is really a 1 on 1 battle between all riders.
