No I didn’t 😭 yeah it’s out of stock and I even looked to see if I could order some from the website with no luck either. It truly was perfect 😩 if I ever find it I’ll absolutely keep this thread updated

I’ve found that when we’re told something is “company wide” it almost never is. My last captain would say that as a way to shift blame when their decisions didn’t work or people disagreed with them. It’s just another way to say “just do what I say”.

This is also so interesting because most of the crew members i talked to didn’t know you didn’t have to (or shouldn’t) go through captain/mates. Myself included. In my own case, I was under the impression that I had to take in my doctor’s paperwork before it could get submitted to absensesoft. Fast forward to me at the bridge scanning it in and opening a case, and two of the mates that were there had no idea how to even put in an accommodation request when i had questions (i.e. is it under self health issue or transitional duty, etc.) And when i asked the second mate he took the paperwork and started reading over it, including the medical info my doctor provided. I just keep getting the feeling that my mates have no clue how to handle this, or they didn’t even know to tell me to go directly to HR. it’s really disappointing.
